Why doesn't Nascar rin more road courses? It's unwatchable aside from the road races, and I don't get it.

What would you implement to make it more interesting/enjoyable to watch?

Personally I think expanding beyond N/A V8's would be a great start.

It's the American version of horse racing

:/

...wut?

Ramps and nos powerups

Louder exhaust

>Kyle Busch on three wheels
>is only on two wheels
nice job opie

>implying I named the image
>implying I didn't just Google "nascar road race" and save the best image

Or people crossing the finish line back and forth from the grass pits to the wall while the race is on going just to decide whod be the lucky winner

One day.. not too soon from now

>replace pushrod V8 with V6TT
>allow every car to have like short overboost for passes
>make cars more aerodynamic and lighter
>add more road courses

it would be watchable then

Figure 8.

Anyone got the gif?

Turn the oval into a figure8. makes it 1/2 left turns and 1/2 right turns.

I'm sure it has to do with money. You can sell more tickets at Bristol than you can Watkins Glen.

Something like this then?

>Implying they wouldn't save the overboost until the last lap.

It's sad really. I've been to a Nascar race and they don't really race at all until the last 4-5 laps. The rest of the race is just saving as much fuel and tire tread as possible without falling behind. With 5 laps left they push the cars.

I hate Nascar but F1 is barely watchable either. The Baku race would put an insomniac to sleep.

Baku was the second f1 race i watch and it put me to sleep

How to make Nasar watchble again:
>More crashes
>More sudden losses of downforce
>Worse tire compounds
>More stressed engines that regularly blow up
>Allow 15K RPM pushrod engines.
>Recognisable cars that are clearly derived from road cars
>Identical cars have to be used for lefthand, righthand, and figure 8 tracks

>Replace big n/a carb'ed pushrod V8 with small, EFI, 13K RPM, twinturbo V8
Ftfy

So, rally?

Rally has more complicated courses, doesn't use tarmac, uses small 4 bangers instead of V8's, and is way slower.

Because they hate fun

>mfw that road america rain race a few years ago

Nascar is fine as it is retards. It makes tons much money and has a huge following.

coming from someone who dislikes rednecks, boomers, nascar, etc.. nascar is honestly one of the better racing series to watch along with bsb, wsbk, and motogp if you actually like watching the act of people racing with eachother.

all the armchair racers on this board will cite rally, but realistically watching rally on tv is boring. the coverage is pretty ass

thats literally every race that isnt a sprint race.

Road courses are cool I suppose, personally I don't see the need for any more of them. Maybe it's because i've only driven ovals in my experience. Generally throughout the series see's lot of demand for seat time on the road courses, so it is good.

You mean ways to kill the drivers kek.

Rallycars run on tarmac too buddy.

Oval racing is pack racing most of the time. That is what makes it so close and fun to watch.

As for rally I do agree, rally is an acquired taste.

Because then it wouldn't be 'hick circledrive', would it?

NASCAR only needs two things to make it fun again

>more power
>less downforce
