1st for Honda

...

a best

3nd for no bully

The honda jokes were borderline funny the first 25 times or so.

Now you're just being a faggot.

This. It's a shit OP image. Try to be more kreeativ.

I don't think it can get any better.

ayy lmao

its astounding how much free time this certain "op" has. every day i check the dbt thread hes shitposting his honda sucks meme, making threads almost every time too.
>so thats what people with no life, friends or girlfriend do
makes sense

>honda haters mad at success

There are at least three of us.

So I went to a Horizons Unlimited meetup this weekend. Took some pics. Commencing OC dump/blog post.

>tfw busy at work so end up trying to install LED lights and a new throttle cable the night before, not finished until 4am
>end up routing cable incorrectly, bike automatically whiskey throttles when bars are turned hard in either direction

I don't blame you, just walked the beach. Lotsa tourists.

Still got the Honda? I'm sure it pales in comparison to the Indian in terms of uniqueness etc
Looks fucking delicious

Which user is this

>all these honda owners

17th for golden brown hair flowing in the wind

The dead one

Is that an XR600?

Three devices doesn't make you three separate people

are you a cute gril or a cute boy?

>yellow pregen ninja 250
>long hair
That's nice

Boobies

Is that your own locks or is that qt3.14 pillion

>don't want to take 125cc's on motorway but don't have alternative route
>bomb down 50 miles of motorway at 55mph in light to absolutely pissing rain
It was actually pretty relaxed. Since there are two lanes people can just overtake with no stress. Being a little slow on a single lane road is much more of an issue.

Damn, somebody bring these cunts a glass of water.

K. What did he ride

>xr600
kek

>finally arrive after roughly 100 miles of riding
>watch a few presentations
>be a massive autist while having dinner with other people
>go for a late night ride to avoid more autism

The later

Thanks!

Nuh

Mine

>random person posts some hair and all these posts
I love it.

A donorcycle of course

>wake up next morning and look at the bikes

post boipussy

never seen that kinda honda before, what model

>so many GS's

Have a burger

Christ, I hate those turn signals. Hideous.

It's like they haven't changed since the 80s

It's the 125cc model. Not really much in common with the genuine XR250/400/650 models. I think they sell a lot of them in Brazil but under a different name like Tornado or something.

>CCPT's wet dream

Huh, thanks for the info.
>CCPT's wet dream
lmfao

I'm getting a little bored with my '01 SV650, what should I get next that's more sport oriented? A 600, or 1000? This is my 3rd year riding.

Rode a R6 and loved it, and am drooling over the S1000RR.

>tfw have ones just like that on my bike
I have new LED ones coming in tho

>watched a couple more presentations in the morning but found them uninspiring so I just went for a ride instead
>found a scenic forest drive
>took many pictures
>implying you can take pictures without your bike in it

Whoa, an user died from here?
How did /dbt/ find out?

That's what I'm saying, man. It's like one company has a monopoly on turn signals for bikes.

Good on you for getting LEDs, but man.

>"Trail Closed"
ayy lmao

An R6 has like double the HP of your SV650 and costs like 1/3 of a S1000RR. I'd go with that and if you still want more, you can upgrade later.

>you're riding through this forest road for ages and don't realise you've been steadily climbing the whole time because you're surrounded by trees
>then...

I'll probably do that, then. No need to jump into a Liter right away.

Any thoughts on the 675R? Also on my radar, but haven't even sat on one.

>service roads/unfinished trails that have gates not quite wide enough to stop a bike

>tfw ride my FZ6 with bald tires like this
note the snow on my bike, shit sucked.

Where is this? Looks like fun.

You're a madman. How did your bike fair on that path?

>eventually got bored of the forest
>went tourist mode and checked out some history

Are dirtbikes inherently lighter than roadbikes?
Why is popping wheelies on a 600 dualsport seemingly easier than doing so on a 600 naked/ss
Is it psychological?

the r isnt worth the extra $. the difference is very minor. R = front brembo calipers, quick shifter and ohlins suspenion, oh and you get a carbon fiber front fender, wow.

>taught friend basic motorcycle control on 600 i4 today
>he's scared at first
>gets the hang of moving off and stopping
>tips it over and grabs a handful of throttle when it goes down and scares fuck out of himself
Had new fairings on order anyway, well worth the laugh.

Looks like a nice location. Your tent needs some inflating though.

It was a Horizons Unlimited meetup in Ireland. They do meets all over the world though. Check their website. Basically a weekend of presentations on adventure travel and some hands on demo's. Then lots of drinking and socialising.

>killing time

I rode dirtbikes for 8 years growing up and just took it slow so it wasn't too bad. The worst part was trying to turn it around in the morning after rain/snow and the entire ground turning to slop.

Took 10 minutes of sweat and mud up to my ankles. I didn't have much room so I had to keep going back and forth over the same ground.

it's a bivy sack I borrowed and found out it's definitely not waterproof.

Like the other poster said the R isn't really worth it over the base 675, but if you're taller you should definitely sit on it. It's one of the tallest and roomiest 600 supersports I've sat on.

>drinking a litre of milk, eating a cinnamon pinwheel and hiding from rain under a tree half way home
C'est fin.

More suspension travel so you can preload better? Upright seating position so better placed to move your bodyweight backwards? Big single means more torque at lower revs?

Don't think weight has much to do with it.

Went to that Bike/Truck show in Tramore a few months back. Not sure if the bike scene here is for me,

mainly because torque and weight.

dual sport 170kg, roadbike 200kg, you have way more impact with your body weight + being lighter overall makes the front lighter too, therefore easier to rise. combine that with that better torque and it's ezpez

Would you guys ever own an electric bike?

All new models have ohlins now so the R model is even more useless than before

What about a roadbike with a torquey twin?
No
>Shit range
>Automatic
Choose none

remember to report OP for breaking GR3 and 6

If batteries had more range then yeah of course.

>sold my YZ125 yesterday
>just now realized that I only own British bikes now
Where did my life go so wrong?

I kind of want to make a DIY bicycle with hub motors.
Currently e-bike scene has too much shit they do wrong (stupid fucks actually match battery voltage to the motor specs AND then have a motor driver) and I'm just eager to make a proof of concept for myself of how power conversion should really be done, but I'm lazy and busy with web dev wage slavery.

Hey i took the motorcycle course and they tell you to wait until you are almost stopped completely to downshift as you never get past 2nd gear but what if im in 4th gear or something do i still wait till im almost stopped to drop it back to first
tldr when do i downshift
thanks in advance

What kind of scene is it down there? I don't think I would go back to another HU meet anyway. Pretty much everyone was over 40, already there with their mates and the best presentations were basically just LWR but instead of Obi Wan and Boorman it's a guy talking you through a collection of pictures.

if they fix the mileage why not
but nothing can replace the sound of an IC engine tbph. I'd stick to my bike as long as possible

Roadbikes are built to prevent wheelies as good as possible witihout trading handling in. And for powerwheelies you don't even need a torque twin, most supersports will do that in first gear with body positioning, on a liter it's literally just give it gas in the first 3 gears.

Motorcycle course is good because they make you do a snake and teach to countersteer. That's it.
Take no advice on how to work controls from there seriously. These are same stupid hicks that insist you should not adjust hand position for cruising with open throttle.

Nah, m8. You should shift down through the gears as you slow down. So if you're in 4th you slow down until your revs are close to idle speed then you drop into 3rd and repeat until you're in 1st.

I passed my motorcycle riding test today!

I think it's ridiculous that people are supposed to take the test with only a day and a half worth of experience in the little safety course. Like for a car, you're allowed to get a permit and practice under certain limitations, but with a motorcycle you just have to (almost) instantaneously learn maneuvers and be tested.

There was a figure-8 in a box test that I failed pretty bad - I didn't drop the bike, but I had to put my feet down and it was over. The rest of the test I aced so I had enough points to pass. (I'm in Florida)

What are the laws in your area? What is the hardest part of the test?

Be in the proper gear for whatever speed you're going. If you have to drop your clutch, you don't want to be in too high of a gear to speed away, but you don't want to be too low that your tire skids.

i was smart and did the MSF course, waived the test at the DMV. Only had to do the written test.

CA fag

Grats man, my worst parts was the figure 8 as well, didn't get a foot down, but I went out of the box. What kind of bikes are did they have there?

In the UK you'll do an offroad test (figure of eight, U turn, emergency stop, obstacle avoidance etc.) and a road test where an examiner will follow you on his own bike and direct you around country and town roads.

U turn and figure of eight are considered toughest in the offroad and just generally getting through a 30 minute road ride without doing something stupid can be hard.

Shit, i always found the slalom the trickiest part

Yurop

>easy theoretical exam
>ride around on public streets for 3 weeks with an instructor to learn basics control
>practice figure-8, uturn, slow maneuverind and other shit in the 3 weeks too
>take practical exam which consists of:
>riding a few (twisty) roads for ~20 minute
>do the basic exercises, figure 8, uturn, slow maneuer and shit
>if everythings alright you get your license

cost: 1000€ +-200€

They had little standard/cruiser types. I was on a Suzuki gz250, they also had Suzuki tu250's, and Kawasaki eliminators.

same thing in canada but costs like $20

>tfw I could do the figure of 8 all day long without an issue
>but constantly fucked up the U turn
My instructor completely failed to conceal his frustration while teaching me that one. I only just managed to pull it off on the test day.

wew, screams single mother

So, my sister, after seeing me putt around, wants to get into bikes
I kinda want another bike too
Should i
>Get a wr125 and ride it until she gets licensed
>Do the same with a grom?

This is a really important thing they dont teach you at the safety course. Engine breaking and Rev matching. Its probably the most important skill in becoming a better rider.

Being in the right gear at the right time (and in the powerband) is crucial to making turns at any speed. So as a new rider, try slowing the bike down to near stops with just the engine.

Depending on the bike (say a 250cc), 4th at 40 mph:
>pull the clutch in
>rev the bike a tad higher (to match)
>downshift to 3rd
>let the clutch out
The bike should pull and slow down, practice doing this until its a smooth transition. You can do this all the way into the red light. The benefit of doing this is huge. You're in the right gear for the right speed, you can take turns if needed, and you're in the powerband to speed away if the light turns green.

GL user

In my state you can get a learner permit with a 20 question test that even a gorilla can pass. It's valid for a year.
A whole lot of harley guys just renew them, easier than to pass test.

Oh yeah a cherry on a pie, learner permit has no restrictions, but if you get a license, you are locked into same restriction tier that your testing motorcycle belonged to, which there are:
under 90,
90-249
250-649
650+

and immediately lose learners permit.

can you repeat the question?

Which is best memebike for a beginner?

i wonder how many ccs my dick puts out. start her on one that size.

YBR

Highly doubt you get 10 hours of instruction for $20 unless your instructors work for $2/hour

Well, i already have a roadbike, so i'd try something different...
