Car. Car never changes. Or does it?

Car. Car never changes. Or does it?

The anwser is NO.

The difference is the top one is proper, the bottom is dickish.

Why old Beetles are so rare in the streets these days?

Lol i actually hate that faggot whining about all the bullshit because STANCE
Glad that shitheap is still sitting in impound.

They're pretty common in the Nashville area. mostly 70's superbeetles though.

Air-cooled is murdered in stop&go traffic also boomers never driving a car they think is a collectible.

>look at my trophy on my lawn
>coolant has turned to acid
>no oil in the heads, will take months worth of wear when started
>gas is varnishing

Because keeping them running requires more effort than most people are willing to do. Air-cooled VW's need valve adjustments more often than most cars need oil changes.

Also,
>no climate control to speak of
>manual steering
>manual (drum) brakes
>0-60 in 20 seconds
>72 mph top speed on flat ground with no headwind
>swing-arm suspension geometry kills tires

Cars are ment to be driven.
oregano
Cop is just making sure the shitheap hasn't catastrophically failed. Good thing the car is wearing its high-visibility wheel or people might not see it.

>coolant

Here's mine

Here's the engine
2180cc
130hp

...

Why not Subaru swap it?

Air cooled should stay air cooled user

Wrong.

Here's a friends bus with a 1995cc making about 100hp

To be fair, the first picture the cop isn't measuring ride height but headlamp height, which was a federally-mandated regulation back in the day and partly the reason for such things as pop-up headlamps.

Note how that Beetle has plenty of ground clearance, normal camber, and normal tires, and the swagrabbit does not.

>how

is it pretty slow?
im building one but im worried.
DPR 76mm crank
92mm mahle pistons/jugs
a 009 distributor, from the original engine builder in iowa. (fucking sucks)
a new empi bubble top case
straight cut gears for cam
revmaster CNC ported heads
-65cc chambers
-dual valve springs
-stainless 40x35.5 valves
CB performance intake with single DelOrto DLRA 48 (38mm venturi installed)
Engle FK43 cam
high ratio rockers 1.4:1, Kultect brand
stock con rods, balanced and reworked by builder
stock dual port end castings ported to fit the heads

...

also, Aluminum or steel pushrods?

>0-60 in 20 seconds
that seems a little too low

Op with 130hp bug here that bug is cal look
Pic related

nice bug ive got a stock 56 and 57 beatle in my garage

I recall reading they did 0-60 in 30 seconds. Painfully slow.

do you have the same tall 4th gear i have?
it seems like a huge jump from 3rd.
like driving a 5 speed with no 4th gear

does the heater work?

Pretends on how you tune it bit from the sounds of it you'll make 90-110 HP at least

yeah its not a big CC build, im going for longevity.
i want this motor to last at least 100k miles. hence the new case

Sorta I have a type 2 bus fourth gear because when I'm going over hills the motor doesn't take the load

Cool cool

it makes me wonder if my tranny is stock
because fucking hell it feels bad to have a tall 4th
either im bogging the motor down or its revving high in 3rd

You may need to get it replaced if its stock

never driven a stock one, whats it like?
i dont know what year its out of
its swingaxle, wide 5, and is pre reverse light

...

Stock bugs drive fine you don't need 260hp to drive 65miles per hour

i mean gearing wise

...

Stiffish like most old eurofag cars from the 60s

...

Clean

...

...

Yours if so just a opinion get a doghouse fan shroud because they cool better

wrong
type 3 coolers look the best
but this has appeal too

Still a vw engine and faster

faster? id like you to prove it

You see them occasionally in Montreal, late T2 buses too.

Porsche engines can't fit in bugs without cuting the body or if its out of a 356 it could fit

just do this son.

Give me the money and I would do it to my other bug
