>no more room for games or serbs I did ask if anyone had any better new formats. The problem must be dealt with at some point.
Michael Howard
Removed Robot Arena 2, problem solved :^)
I don't think anyone would even notice
David Wilson
/egg/ is still going to get more games in previous jejs I had to delete the abortion serb, robocuck, etc. There's still no room for empyrion and its serb
Ethan Butler
Fair enough
Alexander Adams
WHERE THE FUCK IS ROBOT ARENA 2 IN THE OP
Cameron Martinez
For Machinecraft delete the links and the filecase thing. The mech template does not work.
>starmade server ???
Remove the robocraft link, nobody should be ever again encouraged to play that.
Chase Campbell
I'm still keeping my eye on Planet Nomads. I'm hoping it turns out well.
Ryder Diaz
>still no worthy competitor for starmade that isn't fucking dead I would be okay with this if the dev wasn't paranoid cuck who is scared of anyone touching his spaghetti code and refuses to hire any competent coders.
Fucking krauts
Nicholas Thompson
so is the inevitable going to be delayed or is the new mutable ded format going to be used?
Jackson Howard
dunno, I have no strong feels for one way or another
Mason Gutierrez
Is everyone enjoying Spengies realistic sounds?
Evan Butler
avorion soon
it's not gonna be the minecraft in space that we want, but it's sure as hell gonna be fun
Kayden Nguyen
Delaying is the best course of action
Jayden Lopez
that thread is wierd and you shouldn't post in it
post here
and stop making different fucking thread, egg is egg
Jaxon Rodriguez
You're weird
Grayson Cook
you lil niggas dont know weird until you see my favourite hentai tags
Nathaniel Richardson
i want kspg to fucking go and stay go
leave our egg alone
Aaron Rogers
Question for space engineers: those fucking planets still moves about 2-10 m/s and crushing my landgear while i'm trying to make a soft touch? No Keplerian orbits yet?
Joseph Bell
Pretty sure the planets are static dude.
Andrew Stewart
Planets never moved and won't for a long while. Landing gears are made of explosive plastic with nitrogliceryne as coolant and nitrocellulose for cushioning.
Brandon Johnson
I AM THE EGG
Connor Russell
Official shield and weapon blocks into SE would be the best thing ever. Help me forget that Starmade sadistic interface.
Michael Evans
> still no Empyrion in the OP
smfh at this ineptitude tbqh
/egg/ plays Empyrion on the Andromeda Rising server:
Starmades got several issues that really hold it back and drive off most players, resulting in it being fucking ded.
#1 is the looks. It looks exactly like a minecraft clone. People look up pictures and video of the game and assume its just a minecraft reskin and dont bother playing it.
#2 is its too complicated for its own good, ensuring most players leave the game, and only the most autismo players play the game and keep playing.
#3 indestructable home bases, with no real way to ever destroy your enemies base. Once a factions points reach zero, you can destroy their base, but the games vanilla settings make it impossible to ever drop a factions points in any meaningful way, meaning you wil never hurt their base. And because almost all servers are full of giant babies who dont ever want their base hurt, they use the vanilla settings. So you attack some guy in your huge cruiser, and he just runs back to his home base with giant indestructable turrets on it and sticks his tongue out at you waiting for you to leave the server. It kills alot of fun in the game.
#4 is that bigger ships are pretty much always better in Starmade. A small ship has no fucking chance against a bigger ship, unless that bigger ship is really poorly built. If you are flying around in your ship and some guy warps into the area with a ship thats bigger than yours, you need to warp out and run away, because you will lose every time. You cant build some small super specialized ship that can take on bigger ships to attack weakpoints or anything like that. If your ship is smaller, you are juts straight up fucked.
Theres more issues, but these are my biggest complaints.
Joseph Kelly
>Factorio >Version 0.14.3 > Fixed desync related to selection of trains. (31935) > Fixed that joining paused game resulted in a black screen that was there until someone else unpaused it. (31763) > Potential desync fix related to locomotives being selected in the same tick they are mined by someone else. > Potential fix of crash after a desync.
Brody Jenkins
I'm not from kspg you sensitive little buttfucked retard
Michael Rodriguez
Starmade doesn't look like minecraft at all. Only similarities are cubes but it ends there, starmade doesn't limit itself on 90-degree angle cubes and custom 3D model pieces are already being put in and more are to come.
I like to imagine a world where Notch wasn't lazy piece of shit and actually went ahead with his spessbuildan game project to compete with starmade.
Camden Bailey
>exactly like a minecraft clone You must be thinking of corneroids
Evan Williams
>implying this will unclang the massive drone autism on vanilla egg server
Luke Watson
Drones don't cause any clang. Can have literally tens of thousands of them.
Caleb Kelly
>all these factorio patches >most recent one i can find is 14.1
fuck i should just buy the game
Ian Evans
>all those glorious updates >fucking vehicle inventories >fucking laser and roboport trains soon >tfw been too busy to play any and missed the egg server
Nolan Turner
Huh, didn't think it would all fit >tfw have to tear half of it down for fuel soon
Chase Sanders
Warbros server;
Are landing gear and/or maglocks still death?
Christopher Perry
Anyone found a way to make FtD multiplayer fun yet?
David King
Additionally, can I fly my frigate without fear of the fighters/shuttles snubbed to it vaporizing everything? I've heard the suggestion of using hardlocked rotors as docking clamps as they are completely stable in-flight. Do those CLANG when connecting/disconnecting?
Benjamin Howard
>install the magnetic accelerator cannon mod for spengies >put two siege MACs on my cruiser and immediately start blasting NPC ships out of high orbit >miss two times >see two lil explosions on the moon below >decide the check it out >mfw
I think those cannons might be a little bit OP
Easton Clark
MACs have almost always been considered WMDs in science fiction.
Consider the Halo fiction. Ships had so many failsafes that they typically wouldn't allow themselves to fire if there was a chance of a MAC missing its target, and why Jorge was shocked when an in-atmosphere firing was approved in Halo: Reach.
Lincoln Perez
and this is why using mass-drivers in- or near orbit of planets is banned in international laws
>tfw the one time i actually need advice is when there's LITERALLY NOBODY ON
Seconding Labor Day is a lame holliday and I still have to fucking work Monday
Mason Johnson
>all that spaghetti >no fuel Impressive, but also disgusting
Ethan Ross
I have to work Monday also. I won't even get paid holiday pay. >12.50/hr in Seattle.
It hurts to live.
Connor Barnes
No holiday pay here either >9.5/h >been here for three years >arguably second most competent employe
Mason Walker
>tfw been too busy to play any and missed the egg server Haven't missed much, /egg/ factorio players are complete casuals.
>literally everything on a giant bus >no oil ever >no alien artifacts >4 thick walls >defenses failing on big biters >that one guy with cable conveyors for greens
Brandon Carter
THEY'RE RIPPING US ON TRADE
Bentley Brown
>A small ship has no fucking chance against a bigger ship I miss BDLS' serb so much sometimes.
Easton Hernandez
>HV harvester module destroys meteorites at lightning fucking speed one little change to make harvesters actually pick up ore would make HVs useful and vessel mining a thing and solo mining so much less painful
John Davis
...
Juan Parker
That is so funny. My bosses are Russian immigrant. >Vladimir Anyway, something /egg/ related. Someone send help!
Benjamin Williams
>half of all things on main bus only on one side of belts >copper wire on main bus >main bus going nowhere >main bus bottlenecked and unable to keep up with demand AT THE SAME TIME
Colton Smith
>pajeet, my son >your resources flow now, yu must chose were to build >Beautiful and vast open desert >or this tiny crevice between 2 piss pools
hey, empyrion fags, any pve space and planet with gold deposits you remember?
Ryder Reed
>half of all things on main bus only on one side of belts So I was right, bothering to cram in belt-filling splitters. Noice.
Isaiah Sanchez
dalos has gold deposits, surface is pve but orbit is pvp
orbit's been safe for the most part though, only hostiles I've seen so far are a couple tiny stations with flak guns that I just dismantled
Charles Gutierrez
I'll just go deep mine Dalos when nobody's on, then.
Jose Garcia
Yep. Essentially doubles your belt throughput if you're not retarded, and understand how shit gets loaded off of belts.
Then we get into two belt or more configurations using switching and mixing via splitters, or other fun shit.
Belts are fucking great.
Hunter Green
>project was cancelled because the guys making this wanted to do it on a much, much, MUCH larger scale using nukes instead of normal explosives
Caleb Hill
you'd be perfectly fine doing it now, m8
this is the only thing in orbit at the moment
Lincoln Cooper
Yeah but, even with a mega CV I feel uneasy.
Samuel White
I cannot possibly foresee how that could bite anyone in the ass
Justin Stewart
This have to be a bait.
Carson Rodriguez
user have you perchance lost the ability to detect sarcasm? that's not a good thing to lose. you might accidentally fall for one of those things that makes mustard gas
Blake Nelson
>153706376 You shouln't of tooken the bait, ano.
Brayden Perez
I'm getting too autistic for this shit.
Matthew Perez
you must go more autistic until you have become the autism at that point you can apply autism to anything, and everything and do fine
Connor Wilson
>153707435 Its okay, bait posts like that are a diamond dozen, Your bound to reply to one evenchually.
Lucas White
I mean. Project Orion, if used in space, would actually be a (hilariously dangerous and insane) viable solution for getting around. Consider the sheer fucking weight/energy ratio a nuclear bomb would have in terms of propulsion.
David Nguyen
Does the spengies shield mod protect against unfriendly grinding?
Dylan Lee
It protects against all physical changes to the grid.
Ayden Kelly
Neat.
Joseph Scott
Are you saying it does or does-not protect against hostile grinders? In Ced's serb, friendly grinding is not hampered at all, but I've yet to grind an opposing faction's shielded grid so I don;t know.
Anthony Russell
We got an interstellar rift server that we use? I want to play with some eggs.
Eli Fisher
I can't help but think it'd be extremely wasteful, though I mean, wouldn't it use the energy of the nuke much more efficiently if detonated inside a normal, if incredibly oversized, rocket engine bell?
Henry Hall
what's that
Anthony James
No, you focus the nuke.
Yes the end result is something horrifying when weaponized.
Matthew Cox
Design a rocket engine bell that could tank A FUCKING NUKE and NASA would literally send interns to gobble your knob every day for the rest of your life because of the material, structural, and other breakthroughs that would be needed to do that shit.
Mason Smith
So shaped nuclear detonations? neat Now I want some kind of cutting device that operates on that principle on a small scale
Camden Williams
It's a game, similar to starmade. We've discussed it here before.
I just popped on to check it after leaving it a few months and the progress has blown my mind, it's looking pretty damn polished.
There's no "real" engineering but it's still fun enough.
John Lewis
Project Orion would use what basically amounts to a shaped charge. Only with nukes.
Also >detonating a nuke inside an anything >expecting the anything to survive unless it's like a mile thick
Nigger you what
Gabriel Morales
T H I C C rockets
Adam Adams
Impossible. Smallest scale you get is a huge device for propelling Orion-type spacecraft. Largest scale cracks the moon and is the only viable weapon we have against ayys
