Hey Veeky Forums recently totalled my car and am currenly looking for a replacement. Only have $3500 so I'm looking for shit that's cheap. Was thinking of this
charleston.craigslist.org/cto/5652739080.html
It's got a mazda engine so I know it won't blow up, anyone know anything about the Probe GT?

Camry,Corolla,Civic

There you go

>probe gt ever..

>I don't know shit: the post

Yes OP, get it the KL engine in the probe GT is a great one

You plan on doing the work needed to it?
If yes, get it
If no, skip it

shut up and buy a civic.

theyre great fun cars and sound orgasmic with headers and exhaust

one of the best handling fwd cars of its time

if you can fix it go for it while laughing at the no car memelords on here

I had a 1996 GT. It had horrendous understeer, and I spun out leaving the highway more than once. The tranny was garbage, and died at 60K. That said, I always loved the lines of the car, and I drove it twice from Dallas to Denver.

>MUH FWD IS JUST AS GOOD AND ANYBODY WHO DISAGREES DOESN'T HAVE A CAR
This is why everybody thinks FFcucks are retarded, you can't handle facts so immediately jump to ad hominems

>20+ year old car
>20+ year old ford
>20+ year old ford with 100k+ miles
>20+ year old ford with 100k miles and admitted mechanical problems, that caused the seller to say fuck it and put the thing on craigslist.

>you can't handle facts so immediately jump to ad hominems

hey thats what you did why get so triggered over the nocar comment? lol

>inb4 hurr you replied

typical entry level nocar middle school shit

>Odometer: 112500
>low miles

>
Find a bridge and notify your school immediately.

It's not exactly "high miles"...

Come on man you're a joke
It's not a ford
Sounds like you're bad at driving
Those are low miles

>still doing it

Buy it. I would personaly get a first gen one though.

>It's not exactly "high miles"...

>can high mileage lubricants be marketed to you with a straight face? THEN ITS NOT FUCKING LOW MILES

I'm really curious what world you live in where 112k on a used car isn't low

>I'm really curious what world you live in where 112k on a used car isn't low

The I buy 2-3 year old cars with 28k-36k miles on them world.

So if 112k is "low miles" what the fuck would you consider 36k?

OP here, the price range is what makes it affordable, and the fact it has a mazda engine that won't blow. I'll be dd this thing only 15-20 miles x5 days a week, and I can do the work to replace the timing belt and water pump, the guy is selling them with the car.

timing belt and water pump aren't too bad, and I won't be driving this thing too far, my work is close by, besides
>mazda engine, transmission, drivetrain, body design
>lights are literally the RX-7 FC's

It was a part of that gray market shit they did in the 90's. Like the "Dodge" stealth or the "Chrysler" conquest were Mitsubishi, the "Ford" Probe is Mazda built (ford owned 25% of mazda at the time, they own more now)

So in your world a car that has over twice as many miles per year is low miles?
