Are ecoboost engines the future...

Are ecoboost engines the future? They deliver far better performance than a superchargered V8 counterpart yet weigh less.

v6 is shit tier

...

...so?

V6's are better. Deal with it.

What if they make a V8 ecoboost user? What will you believe in anymore?

nah, v6 is trash. Ford literally built that GT engine tailored specifically to LeMans displacement guidelines.
it's an engine of compromise.
v8 is better, v12 is best.

They won't. It adds unnecessary weight.
>Ford literally built that GT engine tailored specifically to LeMans displacement guidelines

So?

>it's an engine of compromise
no

>V8 is better
no

>V12 is best
Probably the only objectively correct statement that will happen ITT

>it's an engine of compromise
lol, what?

>It adds unnecessary weight
>5.0 V8 Ecoboost being developed as we speak

horsepowerkings.com/the-f-150-raptor-will-receive-the-ecoboost-5-0-twin-turbo-v8-in-2018/

v6 objectively sounds like shit

>it adds unnecessary weight
yes? there's nothing false about that statement.

Although this is all shitposting, I'm anxious to see how these Ecoboost engines in trucks and sports cars hold up over time.

The one good thing about American cars and pickups is that you don't have to check the oil every time you get gas and they will still run 300k miles. And the sports cars require much less service than similar European cars.

Sounds nice under warranty, but I want my F-250 with 180k miles to be reliable when I'm towing my boat 200 miles in the heat of summer.

>And the sports cars require much less service than similar European cars.
>much less

what

>no argument
There are plenty of EcoBoost engines running over 200k miles. 300k? I'm not sure.

>sees shit that's not even there
Just fuck off already nignog.

That's not a v12 though

Are you illiterate?

Not everyone drives a tiny clown car, therefore weight isn't an important factor for trucks.

It'd be like saying your brain adds any coherent thought process to your being, despite trolling in Veeky Forums with reaction images. Obviously, your head is just an empty shell.

>rumored to have a V8
>Literally says it will have a 5.0 V8 Ecoboost

I know truth hurts, it must feel bad not being able to hold onto an argument anymore.

isn't the testarossa a legit 180 degree v12?

>no argument
What exactly is there to argue? The post said that a twin turbo 5.0 was being developed and the link confirms it.

Aw shit nigga that gets my hopes up. Hopefully if they plan on adding Turbos to the Mustang they go Turbo V8.

LS engines or V8 Mustang engines vs a V8 in a BMW or Audi...

Most Yuro 6cyl engines were pretty good, BMW's I6's were great aside from the VANOS issue but anything more than that has big issues in lots of cases.

>horsepower kings is a reliable source
Okay, retard.
>horsepower kings
k

How do you browse Veeky Forums when you are blind?

That is indeed a V12

>rumor =/= possibly
>calling anyone else illiterate

>uses horsepower kings to back up his "arguments"

>believes bullshit about 3.5L being over 700hp but refuses to believe a 5.0 ecoboost exists

It exists, it's just not going in the Raptor. It's going in the GT500.

Ford will never make a V8 turbo mustang. Their crowd is all about the muscle car and sound, they have to be N/A to sound good.

Do you have proof it's not going into the raptor?

>tuebocharge engines
>give it a marketing meme name
WOW HOLY SHIT ITS TEH FUTURE GUYS NO ONE HAS EVER DONE TUEBOCHARGING BEFORE

Wrong the next GT500 is going to be turbochargered.
Do you have any proof it is?

>inb4 muh horsepower kings

It's about as logical as using wikipedia as a source, try again

Where's your reliable source saying the gt500 will be TT?
Or, in your case, turbochargered.
>calling others illiterate

>Wrong the next GT500 is going to be turbochargered.
>no source added because the first source is from horsepower kings

Looks like you've gotten into a corner you mud troll. BTFO

you are a retard, keep drinking that kool-aid

/thread

except the cobra jet has twin turbos, you are a retard

I never claimed it was going in the raptor you stupid nigger. All I ever said was it existed.
>still no source for gt500
>muh goalposts

Not the guy you're arguing with, but nigga come on. That isn't how it works.

Hilarious how you're such a delusional fanboy that you're talking shit against ford.

>moving goalposts

kek

>imblyign I'm talking about brand new cars when I mention VANOS issues and LS engines
I'm talking about the old big lazy V8s that would run forever. Plus I said the BMW I6's were good engines anyway, it's the V8s that were fucked in most cases. Go drive an old 7series around for a few years with minimal maintenance. Then cruise a V8 Mustang around with the same minimal maintenance schedule.

You just wanted to jump to respond to the "BMW and Audi unreliable" meme, which wasn't what I said.

This board is garbage. Nobody even reads stuff anymore, they just see GM, BMW, or FCA and automatically have to post all their links defending it whether or not it is even relevant to the post they are responding to.

>kek, any proof it's going in the Raptor? ;^)
No because the point of the argument was that there is a V8 ecoboost in development.
>moving goalposts
What a shitfest you've made.

>Talking about EcoBoost like it's something revolutionary

Nigga please it's just Turbo V6, Turbo Inline 4 why are you even making a thread.

Supercharged>>>>>>>>>Turbocharged

The burden of proof is on him.
>still moving goalposts
kek btfo

Turbos are actually better, try again.

Hahahaha
They're only good on small cars that literally need it to make any power. Still, enjoy awful Turbo lag and horrible engine sound.

>The burden of proof is on him.
Yes, but that's only because you don't accept the sources cited.

>horrible sound
>MUH SUBJECTIVE OPINION!!!

Horsepower kings isn't a reliable source, dumbass.

>backpedaling

>I'm talking about the old big lazy V8s that would run forever
so something that is completly fucking irrelevant today?

>Go drive an old 7series around for a few years with minimal maintenance. Then cruise a V8 Mustang around with the same minimal maintenance schedule.
ok, any objective arguments?

> it is even relevant to the post they are responding to.
see>much less service

you have to change the engine a lot sooner in a corvette than in a BMW inline 6, it seems like the one who doesn't read is you

the interval maintenance is the same, the difference is the cost, a BMW is far more expensive to maintain

BMW used to recommend people to change their oil at 15k miles btw

Calm down boy racer.

Your choo choo sound doesn't make you a Japanese 90s drifter

friendly reminder

V6 belong in economy cars, not supercars

>Horsepower kings isn't a reliable source, dumbass.
>MUH SUBJECTIVE OPINION!!!

Looks like you've lost there bud

...

assblasted v8 cuckold spotted
Yes, and the whole world should start using wikipedia as a viable source. Oh, wait....

Yea you won't be able to use that power at low RPM.

seethe turbo makes more power at the lower portion of the rev range, even when its "lagging"

you are a retard

>rants about sources
>claims gt500 will be ecoboost 5.0 with no source

Nice shit tune you aboriginal fuck

Are you fucking retarded? Horsepower kings isn't a reliable source. get over it.

>moving goalposts again
Horsepower kings isn't a reliable source. Deal with it.

>gets BTFO
>nah nah it doesn't count

nice butthurt and lack of argument, americuck

>using wikipedia as a viable source
Nice meem from the 2000's era, but only people who fear the unknown wouldn't use wikipedia.

kek

Sorry, Wikipedia isn't a viable source either. Try again.

>it's completely fine when I do it
>muh entitled nignog mentality
Quit pointing fingers while you're cowering in a corner nigger.

>still trying to move goalposts
kek, nope

BTFO!!

Daily reminder this autistic pussy was too scared to meet someone in a public place in Vegas. I guess.you'd rather stay in mommy's section 8 apartment and shitpost while dreaming about cars you'll never own.

>moving goalposts this hard
>ad hominems

BTFO!!!!

Your typical ecoboost owner. :^)

Anywhere on the field is closer than you'll ever be to owning anything ecoboost.

You'd be mad too if your engine made less power than a naturally aspirated v8

>still moving goalposts
BTFO!!!!

oh the humanity

how shall they ever recover?
