The 1999+ RX7s are substantially faster, more reliable, and have different appearance compared to the early ones.

Anyway. That period of cars is so fucking dark. The industry still hasn't completely recovered and in some ways is only getting worse.

The fuel crisis in the 70s inspired some truly horrific pieces of shit out of murica, engineering wise but mostly in looks.

Think Mustang, Camaros, all Cadillacs etc. Not a burger so I can't remember all of them by name but those designs are just barfworthy, especially in comparison to the really beautiful cars of the 60s.

50's car design is for the most part not very interesting (all those cars that Mr Miyagi has for instance) but they're not horrific like mid-late 70s and 80s cars from america are.

I mean take a look at this thing. I love me some Pontiacs like nobodies business, but this thing is just someone's Budweiser induced vomit brought to life.
