Yeah as others have stated the SS comes with a manual. Definitely a sign of changing times though, most performance cars sit in traffic instead of hitting the togays so it makes sense for most buyers to get the auto.

Never driven a manual but using the paddleshifters in my daddys bimmer make me appreciate them. Simply having more control over the transmission makes driving a much more involving experience versus just slamming the gas and steering around a corner.

If I had a dedicated canyon carver, would definitely consider a manual.

If you mean better as in faster lap times, then yes in most cases dct is better.

I would say manual is batter in terms of driving involvement, and enjoyment. The only people that say manuals aren't as fun as autos are the people that don't know how/have never driven them.
