real good, make boost like DAMN
go slow like LOL
look like fag though

Better than Vw golf

Factory rice, not as fast and/or fun as you might expect from a "hot" hatch. Very meh ride quality.
Non-turbo looks better.

decent if you're going to leave it alone and trade it in after warranty. No potential for serious gains in any department and questionable long term reliability as korea just into forced induction.

rather buy a GTI or WRX

Shitty angry modern car design
Worse than a Fiesta st

saw some at a car meet, sound great, great boost, super slow. theyre ok i guess, but id rather go for a wrx or any other turboed hatch

>great boost, super slow

how the fuck does that make sense to you

Maybe dat turbo made sum sikk noiseee broo

damn you know, turbo noise is like great boost
so it can be slow but have great boost too!

how stupid of me

the car made a ton of boost, but was till really slow for a turboed car, simple math.

absolutely boko haram. get a Fiesta ST or a GTI or a WRX.

you're dumb.

the veloster is one of the better cars. it just feels really good to drive

that fucking factory shifter

god its like an old honda its fantastic

>the veloster is one of the better cars

you are literally the only person to ever say that

Mediocre. Not as fun to drive as it looks like it should be.

...

Total shit.

Because I've actually driven one

>coming to Veeky Forums to ask about korean cars

These people are fucking stupid, they're stuck in the 80s-90s and are honestly comparing it to shit like the WRX

youtube.com/watch?v=vLtE4EWOknE

watch this and then drive it for yourself.

yea i've too
it was shitty
underpowered
body roll for days
and a hyundai

keep having wrong opinions though

>opinion
>wrong
Lrn2english

The forte5 sx turbo version is better in every way.

And "a Fiesta ST would SMOKE it", -Matt Farah, 2016.

>RAYS 18" wheels lmao why

>$6k over base model

>buying a $24k hyundai

that goes against the ONLY redeeming thing about hyundais though, the fucklow prices

>cant handle being wrong

describes most production commute cars user

Wait for the i30N

Disgusting econobox masquerading as a "sports car"

Barely makes 200hp and weighs 2800 lbs
So its pretty slow and not fun to drive

>production commute car

b-but the veloster is a fwd turbo rallye car

Exactly, it's a boring FWD commuter shitbox with lots of turbo whistle that's marketed as a "sporty" alternative to things like the Fiesta ST.

nobody claimed that you morons

>boring
Again. No.

>implying I'm the one who likes a shitty underpowered Hyundai
Again. Lrn2English dumbass.

Compared to the competition? Yes.

I dont understand how you guys can hate this car so much. It's a good alternative to shit like the fista ST. It's cheap and it's small. Get one used and just have a good time.

But I guess Veeky Forums gets triggered at everyone who doesnt just DD a formula 1 car or something

damn you really cant handle having a bad opinion can you?

its ok to be wrong

>a good alternative to shit like the fista ST

have anything to back that up besides pure fucking opinion?

nice car...

>still can't read
Have a good summer.

Driving both cars and the fact one isnt rice taxed

Only on paper is it a Fiesta ST competitor.

>a Fiesta ST would SMOKE it

Actually the Forte is faster then the fiesta st

Feista
0–60 MPH 6.7 sec
¼-Mile 15.0 sec @ 93.7 mph

Forte
0–60 MPH 6.4 sec
¼-Mile 14.9 sec @ 93 mph

>rice taxed
>fiesta

Kenblock monster taxxed

Sure, the Kia is marginally faster in a straight line. Now put both round a track and see what happens.
Then ask the driver which car he had more fun with.

>Then ask the driver which car he had more fun with.

but that an opinion

you cant argue opinion

we CAN benchrace though

Hyundai thought they could take a hatchback, add a bunch of crap to it, and make a hot hatch.

It didn't work out that way.

The Fiesta ST isn't a Formula 1 car either. Your logic is awful.

The forte sx 5 is nipping at the heels of all the other hot hatches in time, so they are getting close.

next generation hyundai is going to btfo out of most of the other companies

calm your autism

>is going to

real wishful thinking there buddy

im going to 2jz swap my corolla

see how dumb it sounds without any fucking thing backing it up?

what?

unable to follow posts?

fuck off

how are you this upset

you know theres 20 unique IPs in this thread?

Typical hyundai shit

Hyundai has been picking up the pieces of the puzzles to build some amazing cars, they have already caught up to most main stream car companies and there new designs haven't even come out yet.

Even Kia is getting in on the action.

And then the story behind the picture

"Let me start by saying i read alot on here but dont post much. But, I thought this warranted a post and some pix. At 3:00 Tuesday morning of this week, some douchebags in my scumville of a city, Rockford IL, some punks decided that it would be fun to set cars on fire. Three in my neighborhood total got torched. Mine was parked in the driveway and my wifes in the street. WELL, they torched MINE in and it got to the garage(which is thank god DEtatched.) By the time they got it out all that was left was sheet metal and copper wiring. ."

but a VW wouldnt have burnt to the ground :^)

Neither of these explain why the current Veloster Turbo doesn't suck.

i have the n/a DCT. the transmission takes one or two seconds to switch. i recomend the turbo manual or if you are an ausie. the RWD Manual Turbo.

Lastly 100mph is around 4-5,000 RPM in the final gear.

Veloster does suck, It needs a second gen to work out the issues of the first. Which they have seen a RWD Veloster being tested on the ring repeatly.

Hyundai bought Kia :^)

>RWD Manual Turbo.
>100mph is around 4-5,000 RPM in the final gear.

...

Body lines look nice but it's a shame that it seems that they toned down the rear a little bit.

There's a reason why Hyundai itself no longer races the Veloster and moved to the i20 instead.

>the car made a ton of boost
>on a tiny turbo

No shit it was slow.

I worked on these quite a bit at the Hyundai dealer I used to work for.
It's an accent in a clown costume.
I've worked on these, and they're simple to work on and desu i've seen only swagfags and "nerds" drive these.
You're honestly better off buying an Elantra GT.

Any thoughts on the 3.8 v6 genesis coupe? Seems like a pretty decent mustang/370z alternative

Pigfat ugly
