How exactly does Little Yangtze fit the parameters of a direct confrontation or conversation that carries between DLCs and NOT just references?
Having references to people and locations between the DLCs doesn't make them an overarching connected story like people keep saying, which is what my point was from the start dawg.
Kevin Taylor
References aren't connections? The stories are self-contained, but you meet and interact with three NPCs whose notes, logs, activities, and influence touch multiple DLCs. So, yes, they do make a connected experience.
Jordan Johnson
HH was insubstantial as fuck and nowhere near as meaty as NW or FH. You had the plot run by Burns Mc Mormon and Bitchback Mountain that amounted to "prep for a gauntlet fight by running around the admittedly pretty canyon that looks rather the same and fetching shit for us, then do a gauntlet fight while guarded by a literal immortal" and the unmarked side quest of that old fuck who died and left his swag ass armor for you to loot.
OWB is admittedly a lot better, even closing in on NW, though it does far rather short in terms of sheer shit to do and worldspace given to do that shit in.
As for the two DLC you left out, those two are rather self\-contained experiences. Especially Dead Money., which while I rather liked, comes to a similar level of shit to do as HH with a lot more limitations on when you can do it and what you can bring to do it. LR is pretty much a linear DM when I think about it, only without the challenge of limited resources and ability to meaningfully prep.
NV comes close, I will admit it. However the sheer worldspace Fo4 gives us to play with and how much the base game can change due to the raider system and the new mob types in Automaton and especially with how in depth the robot building system is in Automaton is, I have to say that Fo4 has more content for it's dlc.
Christopher Lopez
You mean "arthropods"
Zachary Edwards
Is it just me or are raiders actually eating stuff like blood flowers and brain fungus?
Henry Perez
How can you call entirely unrelated mini-stories a connected exoerience just because they reference eachother here and there? Like, that's borderline the same argument people use for arguing about Fallout 2 easteregg canon.
I'm not saying they're not connected AT ALL, I'm saying it's not a "connected experience" in the literal sense, because they're literally not connected outside of references to largely unrelated people/places/events.
To be a "connected experience" it'd have to be like Lonesome Road is to the main story, where there's an actual tangible and meaningful connection int he form of a pseudo-extension to an aspect of the main story.
David Morgan
Like, if you were chasing down Ulysses in all of the DLCs or something, tackling whatever you ran into along the way, that's a connected experience. Ending up at a crazy Casino, or being spirited away by some eccentric robot scientists are entirely unrelated events, just because you find a terminal that references something in either or both of them, doesn't make them connected.
Aaron Adams
Indeed. Gimme a break, I've been up a stupid length of time, and am running on coffee right now.
>Bringing justice to raiders is hard, even with mutant strength. Shame it wasn't mutant toughness. Oh well, I'm sure it'll get strangely easier as my adventures go on!
Jayden Garcia
She aged like someone who lives off soda, and little else, while living in a hellish wasteland. In fact, considering she has to be in her late thirties to early forties, she has aged pretty well all things considered. She just has some nasty rashes.
Kayden Adams
>this entire fucking post
I thought taste this trash wasn't possible, yet here you stand.
Blake Rivera
And blackened nubs for teeth.
Josiah Bailey
>Bottle and Cappy >they resemble a bottle and a bottle cap, respectively LOL just got it
Nathaniel Johnson
HH was by far the weakest DLC of NV and I shoot followers chalk, and then everyone else in the canyon every time I replay it before leaving with my loot and only coming back for drug materials.
Asher Rivera
Not the guy you're talking to but >how in depth the robot building system is in Automaton is depressing as fuck, robots are missing a few features like unable to use them as vendors, missing various parts/paint schemes The other thing people overlook the eyebot pod The fucking thing is useless as fuck, it will tell you to go across the map for 1 lousy nuke mine, resources being just as bad
Joshua Lewis
Lone wanderer probably plowed that shit into oblivion.
Chase Long
You can literally follow Ulysses journey through the DLC areas.
You can follow Elijah and Christine who was tracking him.
You're either an idiot or a troll.
Parker Rodriguez
>still insists random references and notes make the DLC a connected story
Oh, so you're just retarded then. Carry on.
Ryder Carter
I meant the building the bit. Yes there are shortcomings to the system and yes the eyebot pod was a piece of shit, but the base robot building system was really fucking substantial.
Easton Hill
>I'm a literal retard: The post. Do you get upset when there are sub-plots in movies or literature?
Carter Bennett
Nuka World Sierra is pretty qt. The dark circles around her eyes make her look like she's been up for two days straight and that reminds me of myself so I find it quite endearing.
Christian Wilson
...
Carson Ross
8/10 would knock her up. But she's more into scissoring that poor Bradberton's head.
Bentley King
Honestly I choose to beleive that Bethesda made the robot customisation system with the assumption people would make mods and expand the hell out of it. Same deal with the Weapon/armour/Power armour modification system. But with weapons Everyone is too busy adding real life weapons and using it for 'tacticool' type of shit to use it properly like it is in vanilla, with armour noone uses it because every mod is a boring full body outfit and power armour is everyone just makes a million different shiny and clean paintjobs that make the power armour look like a display floor car And I think the robots were just forgotten about by modders
Oliver Sullivan
>paying money for a framework
fucking lmao
Julian Martinez
>But with weapons Everyone is too busy adding real life weapons Like Bethesda?
Parker Gutierrez
Eh the modding community is still in it's infancy, so robots may get more love again.
However I do gotta agree on the armor thing. We were given much better slots this time around and I don't' think all that many people have done much of fuckall with it.
Jack Collins
So Ifigured out how to use FO4edit and am harmonizing mods. So wish people used weaponsmith for all the ammo options then only added their own when needed.
Thomas Parker
Would anyone be interested in a Hotline Miami radio station? I went and swapped out one of the Nexus radio stations with the full soundtrack (OSTs + EPs, plus a small handful of filler tracks from my own music library to meet the station's track quota) for my own listening.
If anyone wants it I can upload it to mega.
Jack Wright
>bethesda makes some of if not the most open and accessible games around that are incredibly popular for that and their immense replayability >"mmmm paying for an unfinished game mmmm goyyyyy gotta fix it with mods kek"
Aaron Gonzalez
I was more of talking about how with half the guns in the vanilla game you can drastically change the way the gun actually physically looks For example taking a laser pistol and turning it into a laser rifle that looks heaps different to the pistol where someone who never played the game would assume they were two different guns Most Weapon Mods I have seen were just a real life gun and maybe you can put a silencer or some shit like that on them, very little that actually visually changes the gun other than maybe textures or shit like that
Camden Morris
>be game company >hype a massive open game with infinite replayability >preorders coming by the dozens >release a bunch of scattered codes and shit >people complain >WOOW U GUISE CANT COMPLAIN THERES TONS OF OPPORTUNITY FOR MODDING U FUCKING DICKS JUST BCUS U CANT DO A BIT OF MODDING FOR A FRAMEWORK IS NOT MY FAULT!!!!
Jordan Price
To be fair the power armor is a fucking mess. It'll take a complete and total ground up overhaul to fix. Don't get me wrong, it's still vastly improved over previous incarnations. Feels like a walking tank now, and has a fucking jetpack. So lightyears forward. But it's still fucked. Paints and material mods in same category, and tons of the mods are completely pointless. Plus each new update breaks some shit that mods help fix.
Once the updates stop coming we'll see power armor get real popular.
As for reg armor, i think the main concern is clipping. I roll modular pieces and clipping is fuck awful for me.
Hudson Barnes
>be game company >release massive open game with infinite replayability >everybody shits on you for any and every reason they can think of but plays your game for 2000 hours anyway
Wyatt Parker
>feeding disciples and pack parts of the part equally 2 each. >tie breaker
Well? Who do i give it to?
Jonathan Perez
>I was more of talking about how with half the guns in the vanilla game you can drastically change the way the gun actually physically looks You really don't. The only modular weapons are the pipe shit, laser and plasma. Everything else is simple tiered shit.
Thread on autosage so it's going to be dead
Gavin Lopez
>be u >be retarded
lmao get told
I haven't played F4's DLC yet
Ayden Sullivan
Disciples
>siding with the furries
Aaron Gray
So I figured out how to use FO4edit and am harmonizing mods. So wish people used weaponsmith for all the ammo options then only added their own when needed.
Jayden Moore
Upload it
Carter Martinez
Enjoy page 10, /fog/.
You're all going the same way as /dsg/, /egg/, and /wtg/.
/kspg/ is already there, we've killed it.
We're done with your shit generals.
Oh, and anyone who makes a new thread will be banned.
Jeremiah Bailey
> try to sell mods You forgot this step.
Parker Davis
Disciples have the best perk in the expac. Kinda hard to not side with them.
Angel Carter
The Pack because they don't cut themselves with their own words.
Matthew Powell
Not that I'm whitewashing history or anything, but that was Skyrim, not Fallout 4.
Jeremiah King
You can still make like half the non modular guns look drastically different to each other in vanila just look at the Minigun, rocket launcher, hunting rifle or even the combat rifle, you can visually change their appearance a decent ammount
Lucas Sullivan
The day Skyrim Goymaster drops.
Count on it.
Luis Brown
Literally won't happen but you can be a buttmad conspiracy theorist that thinks Bethesda is Jewsatan all you want, family unit.
It won't matter, really, but go Pack since they seem more like Nuka World's types as they're wearing scavenged stuffed animals, mascot heads, and dress brightly anyway.
You'll have plenty of opportunities to make the divisions of territory more equal when you start to expand past the Park anyway. >siding with edgelords that sit around licking their knives and acting tough
Better than the Gunner wannabes anyway.
Luis Ortiz
>Disciples >best perk I'm assuming you meant to say "Pack" because the Disciples perk is the weakest of the 3, and Operator's is only good if you're into using supressors.
Colton Thomas
Or also using stealth. +25% on any gun that can use a supressors i.e. the majority of them.
Wyatt Johnson
>preordering a game >buying a game >before knowing if it's good or not >before knowing if it runs like shit or not >not pirating it before buying it just to make sure and get an opinion yourself >ever
Dylan Thomas
Supressors are the best muzzle mod anyway and they are affected by mister sandman too so operators is the best choice
Zachary Butler
My dad died 15 years ago today
Nathan King
Sorry to hear your father was a terrorist
Ian Young
Take something to his grave. Somethin he would have liked.
Tyler Thomas
A bomb?
Christian Gutierrez
I'd have gone with beer but w/e works user.
Carson Ward
shut up, fag
i cant put my butthole on his grave that would be disrespectful as hell, aon
Jose Russell
Take a shit on it then? Seems close enough to me
Jason Mitchell
Hey how so I set up supply lines between settlements?
Easton Morris
>Better than the Gunner wannabes anyway. Operators are the best choice, they're the least likely to turn on you.
Edgelords are edgy assholes but they're loyal if you give them someone to kill
Furries, on the other hand, are already planning to take you down the moment you become overboss because it's just how they work.
Therefore, always purge furfags.
Ian Morgan
Comin' up.
Isaac Barnes
I wish this was real, would be a billion times better than that prerendered fallout 1 and 2 shit.
Ian Hill
Was anyone else disappointed that Dry Rock Gulch wasn't full of synths?
I mean I guess they kinda already did robots in Galactic Zone, but come on DRG just screamed out to be a WestWorld reference and they dropped the ball big time.
Julian Thomas
Besides using local leader? Select a settler and it will show up at the bottom.
Andrew Butler
Yeah it was pretty lame of them to pass that opportunity up. Synths in cowboy outfits and everything?
Luckily we have the HBO show soon. I love Westworld.
Michael Watson
>Luckily we have the HBO show soon. wait WHAT?!
Liam King
The upcoming show references Fallout 4 better than Fallout 4 referenced the show.
Nicholas Carter
>Operators are the best choice, they're the least likely to turn on you. Mags' terminal entries actually suggests they're the most likely to turn on you. The difference is, unlike with the Pack and Disciples, you won't see it coming.
That's neither here nor there, since ultimately it can be assumed they're so happy with you as their boss by the end of the entire Nuka World campaign you're probably the best boss they've ever had.
The kneejerk reaction to "furries" in this case (because the Pack doesn't really qualify) is both unnecessary, and, frankly, a bit stupid as kneejerk reactions go, user. I'd be more accepting of your choosing to purge them just because they look dumb or their "Might makes right" ideals don't mesh with yours.
Henry Campbell
Look up the trailer, my man!
Carson Gutierrez
Probably Galactic Zone is robots plus the fact they kinda tried and failed to do a Jurrasic Park thing with Safari Zone
Evan Young
I want to stick my penis in Curie's vagina if you know what I mean ;)
Kayden Harris
Here's the radio station. I have a link to the John Carpenter one too in the pastebin because why not.
