Anyhow, rode about 200km today. Went to the Southern tip of the island and while the ride there was cool, the place itself was pretty meh. Did a 360 and turned around heading to the Northern part of the island. Took every single dirt road I found on the way, found an enormous pile of dirt in the middle of some fields.

The worst idea available was of course, to go up the thing on a street bike. (see ). Once making my peace with the prospect of dumping my bike and myself down the whole thing FKG-style, I went up.

It was terrifying. Once up there, I understood why the enormous pile of dirt.

Yeah but the suspension is horrible for that though. No travel at all and every minor bump feels like I'm trying to destroy the bike. Can't find many dual sport tires on 100/80 and 130/70 on 17" either.

Anyhow I made my way to where I wanted to go and fucked around on the town until I came across an alley well I didn't know what I was expecting, but it was surprising to find the sea.

Small power delivery / weight / chassis / everything. No point on a 160/60 rear with 21hp. I suppose a wider front tire would be cool but my rim is pretty skinny too, 110/70 sits with the edges mostly unused.

Anyhow it turned out to be a scenc road with a ton of viewpoints and all my pictures ended up sucking bigtime except maybe 2 in which I angled them all wrong.

At one point the narrow bifurcated and I took the narrower path. 50m into it there was this enormous sign

Are fender eliminators worth getting?

Yes if you want cops to scrutinize you even more.

They're worth making yourself for $5 and not paying $80 for a bracket and some bolts. Ignore the guy saying cops will look at you, its probably more likely they will look at you if the have the giant ugly stock fender on because they will think you're a retard.

I don't know how the rules are at your place, but here the license plate has to be easily visible and illuminated, nothing else.

LS2 and AFX look the best. I like my Bell MX-9. Can remove the visor because at those speeds when you aren't facing forward the wind will twist your neck, keep that in mind when you get a helmet with visor. otherwise it's great for the sun and for debris kicked in front of you in the woods
