In Vic our restrictions are almost the same but you can't drive solo until you're 18 and don't get off your Ps until 22.

turn 16 L1 do a test on the computer, get to do 80 top and have to hold for at least 3 months and be 16

L2 do practical test and be able to show basic driving skills and be able to do a 3 point turn. you have to do 50 logged hours before you can progress when you turn at least 17. limited to 100 in 110 and 90 in 100

P1 pass the test by peforming monuvers such as reverse parralell parking, 3 point turn etc. no restrictions on what car you can drive even from L1 and no cerfew and no limits to how many passengers.
P2 can do everything a fully licenced driver can and dont have to display plates just have to have .0 BAL.
best part is theres no where enough police here to enforce the road laws, so as soon as you get out of the subrubs youre pretty much set to do what you want. we also lack a lot of modding laws that you mainlanders have. in terms of cars this is the one redeeming point about this shithole.
