Thanks for all of the actual responses, and no I'm not spoiled I work for all of my stuff by tinting car windows with my dad for 8hrs a day 6 days a week in the shit and hot Tx weather. They just wanted me to have a decent car to drive to college since I'm going to have to make like a 30 min trip to my college every day.

That's nice, and pretty much equivalent except the money goes right to your education. I have something similar for doing community service, getting high grades, and writing dissertations on economic topics.

I just think a low key campus job (like mailroom sifter or campus security) is a great way to make a little extra dough and build your resume. If your grades drop like you said, just quit.
