Remember during the bethesda conference at E3 when an interview dragged a Ranger cosplayer to the camera, didn't know who he was cosplaying, realized it was related to New Vegas and proceeded to block him from view with a pair of vault cosplayers?
Landon Mitchell
>those dead eyes behind the helmet this ranger seen some shit
Ayden Long
Fuck. I can't help but question how strong it is reasonable to make the Ant-Strength Bio-enhancer narrative wise.
On one hand, +1 is stupid, and the equivalent to adding a few reps to your lifting routine. It was obviously a choice made to stop 'Those!' from breaking the game while still adding a cool little reward.
It makes sense that a Bio-enhancer from the guy who accidentally make the Grayditch Ants stupidly tough and breath fucking fire would have some dramatic effects. So, at the least I would say pushing STR to 10. 'Peak human' to use comic terms. But for the sake of how overpowered a Lone Wanderer can get anyway, I'm tempted to push a Spider-Man like angle of 'proportionate strength of an ant'.
But how much is too much? I'm enjoying the power fantasy of being able to three-punch knockout a super mutant, and benchpress a Behemoth, but is that too far?
Back in Tactics a Super Mutant had between 11-14 STR generally. What feats of strength have super mutants pulled off through the series?
I'm looking for some sort of benchmark to work off of. I want to play out this character as super powered, but I don't want to regret going over the top with it later, when she is casually manhandling Lanius.
On the other hand, yeah, benchpressing a goddam Behemoth. I need some creative input here. I don't want to regret foundational choices later in the game.
I suppose I could have her lift a Brahmin or a Robot overhead, neither of which should be beyond a super mutant, but never have cause to lift anything heavier. Leave it an open question.
Elijah Myers
What mods should I get to make the strip less of a disappointing shithole?
Adam Martinez
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
Gavin Young
Super Mutants have lifted barrels, guns, people, and all sorts of other things. They can lift a dude in full power armor.
Jordan Reyes
I'm still trying to think on what I can remember about the strength of super mutants, on top of what you said I'm about certain a BoS guy in 3 mentioned them being able to tear people in PA limb from limb.
Not related to SM but in Vault 34 some ghouls are able to knock down one of the interior doors, which I'd imagine are sturdy as fuck, so would require a lot of strength.
Those in mind I'd say you could easily justify her having the strength to lift even a car without feeling you're stepping too out of line lorewise, especially considering that this mutation was created for the exact purpose of boosting strength. 13 - 15 sounds about right imo. Also I'm curious if you're using a mod that actually allows you to lift stuff and throw it around ingame or that's just a metric for the STR boost.
Alexander Mitchell
No, do you have a link? I want to get mad.
Christopher Gomez
>new thread right after I post image How am I supposed to get (you)s
Samuel Perry
By killing yourself, faggot.
Logan Fisher
I don't have the video but I have a still of the two cosplayers they dragged to block him from the camera
You can still see him peaking over their heads
Colton Lopez
Thanks, that is to be honest around the level I had settled on myself after far more in depth thinking that it's probably worth. Something akin to image related. Yeah, I think I recall that chatter too, in fact I think I heard it a few days back in GNR.
I'm using a custom made mod that knocks STR up by 10, as that's the hard cap anyway, adds 30 to base H2H damage, and 20 to Melee.
As for the lifting, FO3 has a Heavy Grab mod I found on the Nexus, and I found what it changed, and can easily replicate it for NV. That's the mod that actually gave me the quandary, as you can lift a Behemoth with it, as as someone rightly pointed out with that frame, bone and probably pure muscle, one probably easily outweighs the car husks in game. I'm thinking that would likely be a step too far.
Kevin Thomas
didn't know there was a vault where the only source of food was butter
Christopher Jones
Ah, missed that. Thanks user, that helps, given what FO4 has made power armor into.
On my final worry, about manhandling Lanius, I no longer feel concerned about that. Image related. Even with godmode on (because my test character for the outfit and Ant-Strength mod is level 2) Lanius is a fucking beast. In fact, his is still far superior to max strength and a h2h damage buff to the point I'll likely have her use a melee weapon in that fight herself.
Christian Gutierrez
Yeah, I remember that now. Pulled a fatty and a hamgalaxy to cover up the Ranger. Low quality, piss easy cosplays get brought forward to cover up what that bloke made. A fucking disgrace.
Anthony Gray
Fucking kek, they literally picked the biggest people from the crowd to cover him up
Jacob Gomez
Howdy NCR, my name is Ken Smith.
I'm a 25 year old Shi Country Connoisseur (Cowboy fan for you Communists), and I spend my days drinking Sunset Sarsaparilla and Nuka-Cola and listening to superior American Music (Big Iron, Lonestar, Johnny Guitar, In The Shadow of The Valley)
I train with my .357 Revolver every day, this superior weapon can shoot straight through steel because it kicks ass, and is vastly superior to any other weapon on earth. I earned my gun license two years ago, and I have been getting better every day.
I speak English fluently, both the NCR and the New Vegas accents, and I write fluently as well. I know everything about NCR history and their Constitution, which I follow 100%
When I get my NCR citizenship, I am moving to New Vegas to attend a prestigious King's School to learn more about their magnificent culture. I hope I can become a lynch-pin for a faction vying for the Mojave Wasteland.
I own several cowboy outfits, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to New Vegas, so I can fit in easier. I tip my cowboy hat to the Veteran Rangers and Troopers and speak English as often as I can, but rarely does anyone manage to respond.
I never not laugh at this, it's just too fucking brilliant.

Jsawyer is a must
Caleb Nguyen
I actually was being a bitch about Jsawyer a couple days ago, and found out the game is easier with it on than Project Nevada.
But on another note Fallout 4's survivial mode really made me realize how much savescumming kinda ruins tension, so I always use a save mod that makes it so that you can't save yourself, instead you need an outside source like a bed or a cigarette or whatever, that can kinda make the game a little more difficult if you want.

At least in his example I'm pretty sure it's one of the things Caesar calls you out on when you meet him.
Blake Jackson
Honestly why I prefer nonviolence when it's an option, nothing is better than proving your superiority and having them live with the shame and the realization of how wrong they are. Savagery has its place, especially in the wastes but diplomacy is satisfying in it's own right.
Elijah Perez
In a completely edge-lordy way. The most satisfying way to do things it completely break some one and tear down everything that has meaning to them. Like sparring them, but giving them no reason to continue living.
Adrian Rivera
Does anyone have a screencap of that guy a few weeks back who posted about his run where he did everything in his power to make the dam battle as much of a fuckfest as possible? It was stuff like making all the tribes (Boomers, Enclave...) side with different factions and destroying the Securitron army despite going with Wild Card.
Camden Russell
To my shame, I'm Of course, I'm working on fixing that, but I'd be lying if I said Fallout 4 wasn't fun in its own way. Just not as an rpg.
Nicholas Martinez
Oh okay, honestly it's not much to be ashamed about. Fallout 4 is much more of a timesink with all the settlement shit and painstakingly searching for building materials.
Lincoln Nguyen
And in addition to both of these, I havea feeling that I rerolled a whole damn lot more characters in 4 than I did in NV.
I just hope that one day we will get a synthesis of New Vegas and 4. One that doesn't only connect downsides of both games, that is.
Isaac Cruz
You poor bastard. I'm 490 in NV and 320 in FO4, so while I'm gettign there, I don't need to worry about questioning my own taste yet.
(I imagine my Silver Shroud playthrough might push it to near the same playtime, but I'll also have done my AntAgonizer and Enclave playthroughs of NV by then.)
>tfw you know your Oblivion playtime is in the thousands of hours, and FO3 probably close to a thousand too.
Dylan Bell
I'm actually the complete opposite on both counts.
I only played Fallout 4 once, did the Institute route, and then never played it again because I didn't feel like there was a need to play it again since theres no roleplaying.
Owen Ward
I agree with the savescumming part in Fallout 4, but >bethesda I'd ratter have a back up.

There's a small nub attached to the bolt, it protrudes through the ejection port. That's how you operate it. Yes, I know that's not how real AR pattern guns operate. They also don't shoot "5mm" cartridge. Are you all blind or memeing?
Jaxson Gray

Well, thankfully Fallout 4 is literally the most optimized and crash free thing in the world, even with mods.
I did however make the mistake of playing skyrim with a no save mod.
Alexander Fisher
No you idiot. Forward assist is the button on the back of the rifle. It doesn't "protrude from the ejection port".... fuck, that's a part of the meme now too, right?

populate casinos maybe. The strip open if you think your computer can handle it. and there was a mod posted in the last thread that adds a food stall to the strip, for that one food vendor lady. It's a cute little mod
