>"it's shit"
>doesn't have Ecoboost
I could have told you that.

Wow what a garbage. Blunder of the century

>doesn't have Ecoboost

It's worse, it has Multi-air

>automatic
review discarded

WEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

>implying they won't mainly be sold as automatic

You're also forgetting that an automatic is supposed to be better for a turbo car and they still fucked it up

Fuck It All, Tony

ONE POINT FOUR LITRES

Euroshitbox tier, at least give me 1.6

why would people buy this over a miat5?

granted its styling is kinda different but still its absolutely shit

>automatic

>implying I don't spool up my turbos to 9000 in between gears

Bigger trunk, that's it

except 90% of them will be manual.
I dare you to look for an automatic Miata or an automatic original 124 Spider. They were offered.

Oh yea. They're uber-fucking rare because no one bought them whether it be back then or these days.

>automatic
>not Abarth

Who cares

If you cared to actually read the fucking article you would see that it's 150 heavier than the automatic mx-5 they tested, and they do exist and they won't be sold 90% manual, nice made up stat you got there faget

>FIX
>I'd take it in Abarth and stick
>AGAINT
>ONY

Oh well maybe the Sicilians will like it then

For muh special snowflake tards

I actually think the main reason why people would buy it over the Miat is the turbo engine, but only in the Abarth trim

Ehh, all the problems listed can be resolved by A) not buying the automatic transmission. B) getting an aftermarket ecu flash.

A is simple, most won't even need to think about it. B will inevitably be done after people drive the car a bit and want more power.

>it's 150 heavier than the automatic mx-5 they tested
And that matters why? The turbo and intercooler add weight as does the longer rear end for the bigger trunk. Honestly I'm surprised it doesn't weigh more

As to the manual vs automatic sales split. Just look for a Miata. Though automatics were offered, it's near impossible to find one with the automatic. Same goes for the original 124 Spider. Actually look. The automatic cars are legitimately rare.

isnt the tarbo multiair gutless?
these days having a shit auto is no excuse even if you have a manual option

The Abarth version, really.

so it's basically a new miata, but made in mexico?

Nope. It's made in japan by Mazda on the same assembly line as the new Miata.

It matters because more weight + gutless engine = shittier performance than the non-boosted mx-5

still better than a Miata

>automatic

who cares about this review

Those who can read and have an interest, as this trim will be the main metal mover

but why?

i thought the mazdur i4 was a better motor especially to boost?

[citation needed]

no one cares

its an automatic doesnt even have paddles

a simple tune and it will btfo a manual Miata most likely anyway

I think the extra weight will make it faster, you get more traction and it will be more planted in the corners

Yeah, nah

>I know nothing about car dynamics: the post

...

>a simple tune and it will btfo a manual Miata most likely anyway

It already takes this car a full extra second go to 0-60.

It won't beat the Miata in the corners either, Miata weighs less and has better braking.

This car is shit.

>implying this is meant to be a driver focussed car chasing laptimes

It is a cheap comfy nice looking sports car for older people to drive around in at the weekend.

I think you are missing the point somewhat.

sorry its a better car overall

its more comfortable
its an automatic
its easier to tune

you dumbass its not a spec racer

Miata is also ugly as hell compared to it and looks like it has down syndrome

>Cheap
In relation to what, an mx-5? No

>automatic
>american review
kek

>skyactiv
>boost
double kek

...

Miatafags literally cant deal with criticism and go full defense meme

this is what raising your kids into legit faggots will do, just stay on FB

LOVE WINS BBY

>Better looking
Objectively wrong, the MX-5 is waayyy better looking than that Italian monstrosity
>it's an automatic
Like that's a good thing
>easier to tune
Only because it's a turbo because Fiat can't make a good NA engine for shit
>more comfortable
Subjective

124 a shit, Fiat fucks up a Miata

Every time I see an ND I like the design more every time. It grows on you and I would with out a doubt drive it every day if given the chance.

The 124 is pretty good looking out of the box personally but I'd rather have a Miata in respect to design.

t. Alberto Barbosa

>automatic
>not the abarth
its like saying an automatic focus ST (if it existed) is shit

...but it would be shit

exactly, it would be shit

The fiat looks way better.
>only because turbo, fiat cant make a good NA engine for shit
What? This is absurd. Are you b8

Which is why the 124 is shit

No. That's why the automatic 124 is shit. Automatics are always shit.

>Fiat looks way better
Chill out Giovanni, but it most certainly does not
>What? This is absurd. Are you b8
Pic related you greasy dego bastad

No, just Fiats in particular

PEPPERONI PEPPERONI, FIX IT AGAIN TONY

>kek and driver

let's wait for a serious review guise.

even with a stick it's still shit
caranddriver.com/reviews/2017-fiat-124-spider-abarth-tested-review
>take the miata
>make it slower

It's funny because that's the only bad review of the car.

autoexpress.co.uk/fiat/124/94406/fiat-124-spider-2016-review

>only bad review
roadandtrack.com/new-cars/car-comparison-tests/a30078/fiat-124-abarth-vs-mazda-miata-club-track-test/

Well that's pretty disappointing
I'll wait for some more reviews and some legitimate track times but I guess it's back to waiting to see how the RF fairs and if mazda ever fix their exploding transmissions

>reviews for an automatic

I've already driven a manual version of the standard 124, liked it far better than the comparable manual ND. And no matter what people on Veeky Forums crow, having seen both in the person the 124 just looks soooooooo much nicer

also these reviews are for the base 124, when the yurops have already confirmed a really tangible difference between the base model and the abarth, base model is meh.

this is before a tune though, these things will be roided out beasts on a tune

I imagine it's the exact same difference you see between a base model 500 and a 500 abarth

Personally, the turbo I4 in the 124 is way more in line with the spirit of what the car is. And yes this is just opinion, but It just FEELS better than the skyactive plant in the ND
