I finished NV for the first time and started with Desd Money. Holy fuck this is the worst DLC I have ever played in my entire life. I liked NV but holy shit this is just utterly bad. Far Harbor and Nuka World are a million times better than this. I hope the rest of the DLC are good. Im about to uninstall NV after this bullshit.
Nathaniel Murphy
Caesar is a hypocrite, he says he is against technology but he uses the autodoc for healing his cancer
Jonathan Brown
You should be able to tell that to everyone in F3.
I deeply agree friend. Fallout 4 is such a good game.
Chase Parker
That's not true, it's a deathclaw scaled to 0.3 or something. I remember using console to make him normal size.

Here are your options user >hand power to a guy who is slowly turning his army into a personality cult and not an ideological based faction >hand power to a guy who is the personification of the above point, and has no allies within said faction >hand power to an exhausted, bloated army which is paved in corruption and anti government sentiment >hand power to a robot who only answers to you, but you leave anyway, rendering the whole thing redundant >hand power to the guy who has always run Vegas and who has done a pretty good job of it

I think it's interesting how all of NV's story DLCs (GRA doesn't count) has a sizeable count of people who will say it's the best of the four and just as many who will say it's the worst of the four.
Well, maybe not many will say HH is the best, but you know what I mean.
Charles Hill
Very many, a large number; also, very much. For example, A lot of people think the economy is declining, or Sad movies always made her cry a lot.

>hand power to the guy who has always run Vegas and who has done a pretty good job of it
That's just maintaining the status quo (and "a pretty good job" is questionable, given that all of the casinos are plotting against him when you arrive, and that the healthy inner city is surrounded by violent slums).
Sure, he promises the stars, but while he's certainly smart it still seems premature to assume he'll actually be able to deliver on that promise.

Depends on what you're into. If you like tactical combat games, then it's a bit better than others of that era, but if you want a well-written, immersive RPG where your choices matter, then no.

Are the new vegas Factions Reloaded mods bloatware? If they are, what are some good patrol/population increasing mods that aren't bloaty?

Only decent one I've found is NPCs Travel.
Couples well with some armor mods like Spice of Life.
Alexander Parker
AGI > PER > INT > LUC > STR > END (unless you're playing ironman style which I don't recommend for your first time) > CHA. CHA is almost worthless, Speech skill is all you need. It's not a bad idea to max out AGI in chargen even if it's suboptimal endgame, because 10 AP is so useful early game. Gifted is basically free SPECIAL points, it's so good it's almost cheating. Worth tagging: Speech, Lockpick, Small Guns (early game), Energy Weapons (late game). Best perks: Awareness, Quick Pockets, Bonus Move, Better Criticals (way better than it sounds in the description, unlocks special instakills), Bonus Rate of Fire. Also Sniper but you really should have finished the game by the time it's available.

So we know that all the default radio music in New Vegas was carefully chosen to be symbolic of characters of themes in the game. Most of it is pretty obvious, like Ulysses being Johnny Guitar, but Big Iron has always confused me.
The Arizona ranger is clearly the NCR, and the "big iron" at his hip is the NCR-aligned courier. So who is Texas Red? The lazy answer is that he's Caesar's Legion, but that isn't quite accurate. The handsome ranger is the aggressor, and by all accounts Texas Red has done nothing wrong but defend himself; this characterization is clearly at odds with the Legion. My only guess is that Texas Red represents the wastelanders who were already in the Mohave before the NCR arrived. Would you guys agree?
Sebastian Roberts

In NV I keep replaying from Goodsprings to about the 188 trading post or Freeside because I try to feel that first time thrill again.
might also be that that road is probably the best a fallout has been, and I actually feel like I'm traveling somewhere. After that the game pretty much devolves into desensitized fast traveling with back and forth quests.
Ethan Powell
Hey, pro tip. Try playing with minimal fast travelling, it makes the game much better to play.
Walk sometimes, take time to look and appreciate the world. It becomes a completely different experience, if you don't try to VIDEO GAME New Vegas and play it as an actual character would acting.
Jackson Howard
>NVBIII >have to kill Cunty Mclean I'm sorry Cunty you were too good for this frozen shithole
Bentley Nelson
>no random events or encounters
Yeah no thanks
Colton Cox
I know, I've tried that but the quests become noticeably different after the first arrival at NV, the faction choices become more frequent as well as back and forth on already traveled ground. This is probably due to the area 'opening up' and being more rounded like f3, while the first half of the game is really linear, but I find that first half just far more elegantly simple and authentically western.
Joseph Sanchez
Get a mod that enables it
I recommend rePopulated Wasteland and NPCs Travel (not sure if they're compatible, but rePopulated Wasteland is good).
Yeah, definitely feel that as well. I much prefer the Western vibes and tend to travel a lot and stick to quests my character would be willing to do, because he travels a lot.
For example at Camp McCarran, just sticking withThree-Card Bounty, going to Vault 22 and doing the Crimson Caravan quests, while ignoring the other quests.
It tends to make more sense for my ingame route and for my roleplaying. I do fast travel, but try to keep it at a minimum. Having A LOT of mods which are meant to benefit my roleplaying game with immersive changes (buzzword buzzword, but it's true), making the game a lot more fun to play like this.
Joseph Davis
What factions would he side with?
Liam Williams
Legion.
Jaxson Butler

Landon Wood
it always bothered me that the Legion never wore metal armor. NIGGA YOU ARE RUNNING HEADFIRST INTO AMRs and RANGER SEQUOIAS EQUIPPED WITH A MACHETE AND THEY HAVE ARMOR.
Jack Young
Only the higher ranks wear it.
>running headfirst into hostiles with ranged weapons with nothing but machetes I'd imagine this only happens when absolutely necessary, the guys in charge of groups of legionaries (Decanus and up) are supposed to be more tactical than that
Hudson Thomas
>Harvest hundreds of random plants >Melt them into salient green >Hundreds of stimpacks
Brandon Wood
Well Lanius, Gaius, and the Centurions did. I agree though, some properly forged metal armor and arms would have benefited the Legion immensely.
I always thought it'd be cool for the Legion to have their own roman styled custom forged power armor, but it makes sense because of their hate for technology.
Austin Price
Most Legionaries don't need it. They utilize asymmetrical tactics that require high mobility, and the armor they have is perfect for that. When it comes down to big fights, they rely on sheer numbers to intimidate and grind down their opponents. Heavy metal armor would be a waste in both scenarios.
Christopher Young

reminder that Caesar's New Regime is ugly and you should feel terrible for using it.
Nathaniel Gonzalez
>hate for technology Eh, more like reluctance to become overly dependent on it. They clearly don't hate tech, what with the power fists, high-powered rifles, artillery, auto-doc, and of course the Legion's attempt to buy a very large amount of energy weapons from the Van Graffs.
Hudson Thomas
I always thought it'd be cool for the Legion TO USE FUCKING SHIELDS
Ryan Perez
I've never really paid attention to the fixes posted because they don't apply to me but I think I recall people mentioning compatibility mode helping. Hopefully someone else on 10 will see your post and reply with how they solved it, just leave the thread open a while. Sorry I can't help directly.

Unlike NCR I dont think the legion could equip its troops like that. Hell basic grunts don't even have fire arms, doesn't matter how much stronger or even smarter the average legion member is over an NCR trooper with a standard issue rifle.
Christian Hall
It matters when you consider their non-existant morale and >2 weeks of training
Remember that elite sneaky Legion tactics are capable of BTFO-ing entire Ranger Stations famps
Bentley Collins
The main reason the Legion doesn't use those weapons is mainly because they are unreliable, ammo, condition, etc. It's just not preferable for them, uses more resources to maintain too.
I'm sure they could get all the armor and weapons they want with all the pillaging and whatnot, they just stick to their mantra.
