I've seen videos of people fighting NK by just staying away from him and using spells/pyro/bows/crossbows because he'll just keep slowly walking at you, every now and then leaping.

I always get ass ravaged by NK no matter what build I do. Same went for Manus. I always get caught by the ranged shit NK throws at me while casting. And when he closes the distance, I get rekt by his spear due to how slow it is.

I'd like to make a dedicated invader character using obscuring ring+untrue white ring+hidden body.
The idea is having good burst damage to try to kill the host in the first encounter, so I don't mind being a glass canon. Also I want to stay low level to take a break from sl120 PvP.
The problem is I'm shit at planning characters, so any advice or directions will be really appreciated. Even directly posting the build if you want.

The most glass cannon thing you could do is use 2 Morion blades and RTSR for a 60% dmg boost and try to 1 shot the host with a backstab or riposte

It took me more time to get NK beat than any other DS3 boss. Just kept at it, learned all his moves and their timing, and in the end it wasn't all that bad.

From Software is incompetent at cheat detection. They cannot detect cheat engine itself, it can only detect shit like editing your stats. Basically, you can do whatever you want, you will probably not get banned and even if you get banned, just use a family share account.

if you're below SL80, you just go 16/40 with sharp or unique and mostly dex-scaling weapons like sellswords, if you're above SL80 you just go quality
it's like complaining that dex builds in ds1 were outclassed by quality past SL100

These are some of the better bosses in the series. Deacons wasn't great, but it was at least the best as far as mob bosses go. Abyss watchers was a backstab fest once you realized you were actually allowed to do that, but it was definitely enjoyable the first playthrough.
