You need a subaru my man. Don't let the bench racers fool you, you don't need a turbo model. Get an impreza hatchback or legacy wagon if you want more space. Try to find one with the head gasket replaced, they tend to fail between 80k-100k miles. You won't be the fastest but you'll have a car that's fun to drive, with tons of utility, reliable, and easy to work on.
