Is Subaru Impreza better value than Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla?

Is Subaru Impreza better value than Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla?

These days, there's no difference between any of those econoboxes. Doesn't matter, at all, what you get, except for initial purchase price.

It has awd i guess.

Other than that:

>shitty pancake engine vs godly 1zzfe
Hondas are just ugly and fat.
I would go toyota for longevity.

Mazda 3 is superior to all of them

This is true
>incoming shitbox benchrace battle
GO!

>Mazda

Enjoy your rust if you live in snowy area.

>not knowimg that was only a problem in the first couple years of the first gen in certain climates
Nice try

This 100%

>Required by law to all have the same body size (this affects the entire world despite only being US Law)
>All have the same technology just renamed "VTEC" "skyactiv" etc etc

>Subaru shill: the post

Pancakes are bad engines m8.

>Toyota longevity meme
This is no longer 1990 when US car makers where too busy making money to make a good product.

In the 21 century, toyota is no more reliable than most other brands.

But i like this meme to exist, cos me and my uncle buy auctioned off toyotas for chicken feed, fix up some simple problem and sell it for thousands.

>bought a 02 corolla for 700
>just a fuel pump problem
>fix maybe 200
>offer for 4000
>Sell for 3500
>mfw guy thinks he low balled me
>mfw memes made me money

skyactiv is more than just Variable valve timing. it also uses a retardly high compression ratio of 14:1, and a from factory 4-2-1 exhuast along with some transmission tunes but who cares about that.

Welcome to you oil consumption @ 50k miles and head gaskets every 100k

>not knowing toyota uses the same engine for nearly 2 decades in the corolla
They do this for a reason.
To iron out all the little issues in the first 5 years. And then have a massively reliable vehicle for the next 15 years.
Its not memes. Its smart business and great reliability.

Welcome to 15 year old memes

Just rustproof every couple years and you're fine

Rustda is a dead meme anyway

t. dumbfuck who bought 5 fords in the 10 years Toyota used the 4A-FE in the corolla

>high compression ratio of 14:1
for what purpose

Good tier:
Mazda 3
Civic
Forte

Okay:
Impreza
Focus
Corolla
Cruze
Elantra

Shit:
Dart
Lancer
Sentra

>The engine is the only part of the car
Lol. Confirmed fore

Engines are usually the most trouble free parts of the car. Any car that isn't absolute shit will never have engine troubles, it's stuff surrounding the engine that breaks.

As someone who's worked on toyotas since 2005, i can safely say while the engines keeps going, everything else starts to break.

My current DD 2003 corolla CE has gone through: both outer tie rods, drivers side inner tie rod (leaking boot), intake manifold gasket, rear drum brake shoes and drums, passenger side caliper cos it seized, all 4 spark plug wires, and a few other things.

I like the car though, so i keep fixing it every time something breaks.

My CRV is way more reliable.

Most of those are normal maintenance done on every other car.

What is build quality?

>What is build quality?
