slap a gigantic turbo and give it a tune? what else? there must be a limit for putting huge turbos.

Nitrous and/or ethanol injection bar none is the most bang-for-buck

Exhaust system can help depending on the car

put a second engine in it

paint it red and add some flames

LS1 and an afternoon

cold air intake bruv

finance some 32" rimz

Mercedes OM606 block and the biggest junkyard turbo you can find. Gas engines are limited by knock, diesels can theoretically go infinitely high as long as they can withstand the heat and pressure.

> there must be a limit for putting huge turbos.

There indeed is.
For a really fuckhuge turbo on a small engine, you'd need it to have a relatively low A/R so it can spool faster.
If it spools too fast on an engine too small, it's going to surge which can cause damage to it.

Nitrous and then a bore/stroker kit
If the heads are shit, porting

what is the cost of that (not counting manual labor).

afaik its $$$$$

Id rather have reliable 200 hp than 400 with ''danger to manifold'' scenarios.

then don't get a shitty manifold? or cool your shit with methanol.

don't you like living on the edge?

a rotary with ceramic seals, 60mm turbo, and methanol fuel tuned to 800hp without an intercooler would be rad.

I like being able to madness around and not worry if smthg's not gonna work next time I turn the key.

I always think how to over-engineer engines. Id gladly drive a 250 hp built to do 400.

But then you can punish it redline it all day long.

Diesels can knock, too. What did you think cetane rating was for?

Whatever the shitty points of it are. If the heads are crap get new heads, etc.

Nitrous is cheapest and just as safe as any other power adder. Like any other power adder, lean it out and engine will break.

>gigantic turbo on stock internals

nitro definitely, ethanol needs to be tuned

for no tuning you can put nitromethane in the fuel, around 3 to 5% wont need an extra tune

t. eastern europe

what if the engine has forged internals off the bat?

hamburgers are forged doesn't mean they make good pistons

are you retarded? that's basically irrelevant and also implying since burgers would be the best pistons ever, especially if they're five guys ones since they're stiff as hell.

>slap a gigantic turbo and give it a tune?
gotta love summertime.

any real car guy would use five guys hamburgers as cam gears. thanks for proving you're a casual.

nitro is obviously the way to go

>gotta love summertime.

summertime sadness of when i blew my crank trying to put 20lbs of boost in my car with a tune

give me one reason why using a turbo is silly.

i only use in n out because i actually like to burn good taste.

Junkyard 5.3 with a turbo.

Port and polishing the cylinder head/s and manifolds
New camshafts
Timing adjustments
ECM tune
Nitrous
Forced induction
Engine swap

>give me one reason why using a turbo is silly.
throwing a big turbo on it and tuning it are the words of a 16 year old on summer vacation.
