Why haven't you ceramic coated your headers yet?

why haven't you ceramic coated your headers yet?

I don't believe it'll make for any significant improvement on my 15 years old 1.6 shitbox.

would terracotta work?

>get small crack
>system shits itself eventually anyway
>Rust from the inside out
meh

>entrapping heat
>adding an extra coat of weight

>exhaust
>rust from the inside out

How the fuck do you manage that?

Too expensive for my shitbox

>entrapping heat
>high speed flowing gasses
You're an idiot.

>What is heat exchange + insulation
kekadekathon

You're supposed to ceramic coat the inside. Then the header doesn't melt itself.

Whats a header? I'm not memeing.

>Pagani and AMG don't know what they're doing
>Srsly u guise I know I'm right

I probably should, by I'm procrastinating taking them out and also I'm a cheap jew.

I would ceramic coat, but my headers are junk, and unless I spend $1,200 on new ones, I wont be.

Didn't you pay something like $4k for a new rear axle setup?

It was closer to $6k. I'm procrastinating mostly because I don't want the car to be out of commission for another couple weeks while they get shipped to a coater.

Just buy some new ones and ship them to the coater. You can afford it.

Hue I thought about that, depends on what I can get for my current ones. Like I said I'm a cheap jew.

>cheap axle jew
Been there. I fixed a Dana 35 because I found someone to do the labor for $25/hr plus kit cost which was cheaper than putting perches on a better axle and cutting the driveshaft.

>titanium exhaust
>rust

rust is the same as ceramic right?

Write a letter to AMG and tell them how to their job.

Just keep them oil coated and you'll be fine

My headers are in the engine.

Doesn't everybody have ceramic coated headers nowadays?

Or are you people seriously buying painted or chrome still?
