Posting a similar dilemma. I recently bought a brand new Camaro 2SS right off the lot on Veeky Forums's advice.
I was told about how the Chevy was objectively superior in most performance perameters, even against the likes of the significantly more expensive BMW M4. But on my first track outing some guy brought along a GTS version of an M4 that Veeky Forums didn't tell me about, and to put it simply, I couldn't compete.
Hold me Veeky Forums, I'm experiencing a severe bout of buyer's remorse. Should I just brag to the guy about my drive away price when he shows me his lap times? Or will he then pull my pants down about being a poorfag?

AWD isn't good at turning corners. Look at Le Mans Prototypes. They're all AWD, but none of them have the engine attached to the front wheels. They just have the KERS attached to the fronts, which is only activated when the wheels are pointing dead ahead.
And if you look at the telemetry from the Z06 vs GT-R shootout at Willow Springs, you'll see that the Corvette gets blown away at the start, comes back in the first five corners, and then gets completely ravaged on the back straight and sweeper.
