Hey guys, I've been looking at a 2006 BMW F 650 GS 2006. The only problem with the bike (that I can tell) is when you pull the throttle there's some kind of hitting sound coming from the engine I believe. This happens every time you open the throttle and I'm not exactly sure what the problem could be and was wondering if anybody here had any guesses.

The timing chain tensioner needs to be adjusted.
Possible it needs replacing apparently it is a common issue on that bike.

Maybe but they're selling it for relatively cheap and aside from that there aren't any noticeable problems.
I'd be willing to fix it up a bit I just really hope I don't fuck myself. I guess I'll see about it, it's a pretty fun bike to be honest.

Had a fun ride this weekend with about 15 sumos and 15 sportcucks. It was funny because all the guys bragging about how fast they can do on the highway with their R1s and S1000s literally got shit stomped in the twisties.

Yes lol. The guy was a local rider so he was doing better than a lot of the city guys. Here's my autistic assessment of a mixed group
1. The 600 guys had a hard time playing gears in the corners. They would either go in to low or high of a gear, and they lack the torks to pull them out
2. The liters had the torks to pull them out of the corners, but they are mostly pigfat so they were scared on the touge
3. The 250s, lol
4. The sumos faired the best. They are lightweight and they have that awesome low end torks for the constant turns.
All of that really didn't matter because only about 4 of those people could actually ride. The rest were either retardededly reckless; driving on the wrong side of the road while coming up to a hill, overshooting blind curves over the yellow lines, or they were just shit at riding and scared.

Hey guys I've had my monster 796 for a few months now and after finding a reliable tech who does not want to charge me 800 dollars for every valve adjustment I'm pretty set on keeping it. Bought some aftermarket mirrors with a black windshield and some red shorty levers with red hand grips. Love to find other small mods but I really wish the bike was a bit louder. Are there any universal exhausts that would fit it or are they just the 600-1200 dollar models I see when I try to look up ducati aftermarket exhausts.
