I took my GSXR to get inspected today and was asking the guy about valve adjustments. He said it's not needed for my bike (2002). Is there any truth to that? He said he was a suzuki factory mechanic for a long time
What milage is your bike? I've known plenty of gixer fags who never get theirs adjusted and are over 30k. A quick Google reveals similar anecdotes, and people saying they took theirs to be adjusted at the factory recommended 15k, only to not need any changes once they took the head off.

What headphones do you guys ride with? I have a pit of bluebuds x2s but they're too big to wear under my helmet, I'm looking for a pair of low profile wired earbuds (ideally with microphone and remote in-line) for ~$50. The owners manual says to have them adjusted at 15,000 miles so that was why I asked. The guy also said steel braided lines are partial memes and not really needed. Replacing the lines with just fresh standard lines accomplishes the same thing

Right, valve cover my bad. But the point remains you don't need them adjusted for a while despite the manual, and it's easy enough to check them yourself with some feeler gauges so there's no point taking it in at 15k JUST for the guy to charge you labor and tell you they didn't need adjustment, unless you literally cannot wrench at all or spending two hours on your bike isn't worth the money you'd make in that time.

as for steel braided lines all the factory race teams use them but i feel like an average rider wouldn't get any gain from having them or be able to notice a difference. but steel braided lines always come in a bunch of colors so if you are looking to do a little personalization then go for it.

my bike came with the brembo M50s and they make so much fucking noise.
The stock nissin 6pots on the 310mms make a good bit of grindy noise at low speeds but once you hit about 5mph the wind noise drowns it out.
