Tfw freshly cleaned car

>tfw freshly cleaned car

Lets have a cleaning thread.
How often do you guys wash your car? I like to do it at least once a month, or every second week if I have the time.

>black car
>live in coastal area (less than 1 mile from the sea)
>sand
>sand everywhere

I have to control myself to not wash it every week

>P plater
I'll never understand why your country makes you display that. Fucking utterly stupid

I usually wash it about once a month
>tfw spent 2 hours washing it last week
>rained 3 days later
Shit like that is why I don't like doing it.

Doesn't matter that much, it's good to know which drivers are still novices.
You don't have them for very long anyway.

Quick question, not necessarily cleaning related but I'll go into it.

What's the best way to "restore" paint? Like mine is currently fading a bit, clear coat isn't gone the paint just looks faded.

Second, I have some very persistent stickers from when the car was inspected a couple years back, how do I get rid of the sticky residue? I've tried Goo gone and it didn't work very well.

Not sure why you'd even bother to clean a vy commo

Do you guys just wash and wax? Or do you get into serious detailing? Just got done claying my car earlier and it looks bretty good

Because it looks nice. I like to take care of my things.

What does the clay do?

Wash and wax every week sometimes 2 weeks in between. I believe strongly that doing it every week makes it so much less work. 45 minutes for a full wash on saturday

Shit i uploaded the big picture instead sorry!

>get home from deployment
>car been sitting for 8 months
>penises drawn in the dirt everywhere
>wash and vacuum everything
>go back for the gutters by the trunk
>two wasps nests I had completely missed while vacuuming the trunk
>12-15 wasps apiece in each
>no decent way to combat them without fucking up the clean trunk
>get dressed in full snowboarding gear
>whack the nests out with a 6 foot pole
>wasps still clutter to the trunk lid
>wife whacks at the wasps with the pole
>drive off like a retard with his trunk up and park somewhere else while wife gets hunted

Looks great !
What wax do you use ?

You could just buy another one for $500

They are a really nice looking car.

Not one that clean and mechanically sound.

>always used coin-operated over handwash or automated
>hometown wash had a proper foam brush for waxing, and a spot-free rinse that actually worked
>all the ones around my new home just have this liquid spray wax shit
>give it a try because I don't have any cleaning supplies atm
>big nasty spots all over my car

Fug

Time to buy a wash glove

I get it washed for free when I fill up at my local gas station weekly (the owner is a good buddy of mine) then I vacuum out the inside, wipe down all the hard surfaces like the dash with cleaning wipes, and towel off any water still on the car. If I wanna spoil myself I get it waxed next door.

Currently A brand named kleen freakz, found their stuff at a local car meet. It has worked out pretty well so far. And thank you!

Thanks!

>black car, coastal area

I feel you, bro.

West Aussie here OP, I try do it once a week but will sometimes delay it longer if it's raining all week or something

I wash the car once a month and the windshield every week.

Thanks for the advice, ill look into it !
