Thorium is a must have. Practically doubles the content. Crystilium to a lesser extent. Second hotbar, healthbars, and cheatsheet are really convenient. Even if you don't want to cheat, cheatsheet is really nice. Lets you blacklist items so you don't pick them up.

If you use a piercing weapon or projectiles on an enemy, it can only be damaged 6 times per wecond or something like that.
