The Lost Turnabout was excellent as a tutorial case, considering the difficulty in the first one, they still made it interesting for anyone who had played the first game, upping the difficulty a bit.

AO 2 is a complete rewrite

2.0 is complete different code, and 1.x can only do so much because theyre literally just moving shit around in hexedit.
Post suggestions and bug reports to 2.0 guys and itll most likely be fixed because it's actually C# and if not, we can fix it ourselves since it's open source.

Correct, the latter is what we need, but they are literally just recreating functions of AO that they didn't understand. They almost re-added modifier 4 until someone outside the group told them. Because 1.8 is an edit they know most of that client pretty damn well at very least.
