You're missing the reason why Beato isn't recommended and is "shit." She requires significantly more effort to be just as useful as top dark attackers.

Put her in another element and she'd shine but just being a good attacker in dark isn't enough.

The reason people use Beatrix in HL content is because you don't have to press any buttons with her. She lets you press attack faster and still get good results.
