Anyone use an aftermarket HUD in here? They seem like a really cool concept and really safe since your eyes stay on the road.

What is a good aftermarket? Is it worth it?

What exactly do you need a HUD for?

hey, i drove through there earlier today. nice stock photo.

Gps.
If there was a tach one id buy it.

>safe since your eyes stay on the road.
Isn't the whole reason they stopped putting those in cars in the early 2000s because they're distracting?

Seriously? Kek the chances
It's nice honestly, I use my vehicles navigation system but it requires me to take my eyes off the road to see where I need to go

They had them in early 2000 vehicles? I know a lot of modern Mercedes have them and they even have fatigue driving alarms to let you know when to take a break

Porn and anime. What's else?

Bump

Pontiac GTP had speedometer and something else for their HUD in the early 2000's.

Fucking s13s had them in 89/90 you fuckstain

You know what's better? Not having to rely on a computer to see where you're going.

You realize a HUD isn't the same as a video feed right? This isn't a racing sim you retard/

Holy fuck you're stupid.

Can I project dragon ball z vids on those If so link

i like your thinking.

Relevant info here used a 50 dollar unit from autozone and the response time and refresh rate are so pitifully slow its basically unusable for the the typical Veeky Forumstist drives.

Speedo, Radio/CD info, flashers, fuel light and "check gages"

my HUD has speed, tach, engine temp, liters per hour (useless) and trip distance (resets every time you turn off the car). its only distracting if you have bad eyesight or put it in the middle of the dash like an idiot. most days its easily visible even with glare and a quick speed check is way easier than looking down at the gauge cluster.

it runs off of the OBD2 port so dont expect anything else like GPS or blind spot warnings. the Speedo is pretty accurate but the refresh rate on the tach is probably slower than some drivers would prefer, i drive an autotragic so IDGAF.

Just wait until you need another car and then buy one with it installed already. Seriously, these aftermarket ones are just cash crabs. Yes it works, but it will never look good and will make your car look autistic.

Go test a good one out yourself to see the difference.
