Looks like a cheap cross between a Miata, Mustang and 280Z

It's a Mazda mx5

>heavier
>longer
>unreliable
>handles worse
>uglier
Would not buy

100 lbs and 5 inches gets you a way faster car and a tiny bit extra cargo space
Way preferable than the RF that adds more than 100 and gives negative benefits like extra motors to break, and the in general slow and unreliable as fuck ND modding scene.

Mx5 meets s2k?

With the back of a Maserati

i've seen one IRL and it looks much more better
though the same could be said about pretty much the every other roadster

Its pretty much a mx5 with a fiat body right?

Does that mean it might actually be reliable?

Looks ugly

Nope.
Out comes the Mazda engine, in goes a 1.4 turbo. Get fucked reliability.

other way around

mx5 body + fiat engine

Fiats only reliable engine and turbo
ND frame
NC transmission (since the ND'd is made of glass unfortunately while the NC can handle 300hp reliably)
Stiffer suspension, way less bodyrole
iirc the only other fiat bits is the swaybar and suspension

>second rate design
>turbo
>slower than the ND

yeah, no thanks

>>slower than the ND
Around a track? Source?

...

Way faster? The 4 extra horsepower?

Try harder user.

And more torque. And cheap as fuck modding. A 600 dollar piggyback gets you 200whp

There goes that tiny fraction of reliability that the fiat had.

It's an MX-5 ND with an NC transmission and a facelift

In other words, it's fucking perfect

FR fags btfo

Seems the euro+drive piggyback got lifted off what hey had for the 500 which I haven't seen any reliability issues as far as the engine goes, which is the only real fiat bit in the 124
Have any other memes?

I like it, but
>no roof

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

hardtops?

Looks pretty cool.

Came here to type exactly this

>base 124
shit

>abarth 124
pretty good

>tune the engine to 200whp on a flash alone
now we're fucking talkin

also that 1.4 turbo in there is the only reliable thing fiat makes, go ask 500 abarth or dodge dart owners if they have any engine issues

oh you beat me to it
here, put another on the pile

you used to shill >le 230whp easily so which is it faggot

eurocompulsion.net/EDLITEFIAT124.pdf
at the moment its 206 plug and play, likely because these are the very early days and tuners need to shake out specifics.
the 500 abarth tune by the same guys does 230whp with just an intake so i don't see why that won't be possible here soon

car came out last month, chill out my man
if you want to see how it's developing follow forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=615877&page=3
shit should start getting interesting soon when goodwin gets his piggyback

If nothing else I'm impressed by the claimed engine output of a 1.4L.

>tune the engine to 200whp on a flash alone
fiattech.com/forum/fiat-500-abarth-drivetrain-discussions/2845-blown-engine

I wouldn't touch that time bomb with a 10ft pole

>tune it for high performance
>jew out with lower octane than you were supposed to put in
>boom

mustang? are you fucking stupid ?

the side profile kind of looks like the newest model mustang from the front quarter panel back so I can see where he's coming from

Dude you can add like 50hp by just plugging in a scanner. They just left tons of power on the table, OEMs don't know how to make fuel maps, only tiny aftermarket companies that sell stuff to vapebros do. Trust me I read it on the forums.

Looks nice, reasonable price, but I'd never buy it on the Italian reliability alone. Doubly so when I could just buy a Miata.

Also the front end is a bit too long imo.

Abarth owner, engine is fucking grand. Probably going to trade for 124 when I can get one...if I can find one

>go ask 500 abarth or dodge dart owners if they have any engine issues
>google dodge dart engine problems
Massive amounts of issues
>google 500 abarth engine problems
Massive amount of issues
>fuck fiat
Fuck fiat

Look at all the buyers remorse, denial, and conspiracy theories. People who buy cars like the Fiat, Fiesta STs, BRZs, GTIs, etc. are all the same. Most of the people using these canned tunes don't even know what a fuel map or ignition timing means, they think the computer is turning up a horsepower knob. There is no free lunch, it's never worth doing a canned tune on a street car, no you do not know better than the huge OEMs and hundreds of engineers. Having a tiny increase in peak HP is obviously not worth the longetivity issues that running the car too rich, not properly adjusting itself for different temperatures, etc.

how is it for tall people?

There's no ceiling so you should be fine. :^)

Same, but I think it's attractive as hell.

Does it have handwarmers built into the trunk for when I'm shoving that fucker down the road in the winter?

I have a list of requirements for my next car and the Abarth happens to tick all the right boxes.

Good suspension set up? Check
Turbo engine? Check
Light weight? Check
Decent build quality? Check
Good sounding? Check
Stickshift? Check
Reliable? Check

Only thing it doesn't have is a fastback roof, but whatever. It's not necessary.

It's just as reliable as the miata, in fact it actually has a much more durable transmission. And it handles better because it has far less body roll. The only real problem with it is the engine has a ton of turbo lag

25,000-29,000 USD

160 hp

Wew fucking lad

1080 kilos though
