What I'm saying is that Apocalypse is so slow and less fluid in comparison, both in terms of battles and dungeon crawling. I've played nothing but P5 since it came out, so the huge difference stands out a lot and it'll take some time to adjust. Kind of like how people were complaining about going from 5 to 4 or 3 a couple of days ago. I don't doubt I could get used to the IV engine again after 5 hours or so but I'd rather just play more of P5 instead.

Plus 5 has probably my favorite SMT ost thus far, while Apocalypse is half songs from another game and half average to good songs, so that factors in too.

That aside, the beelzebub axe isn't the same one from P3, but it's pretty cool looking anyway

It's okay, I guess, I have played through it but all of the other Persona games left me with that empty void you get inside when you finish a really good book, this really didn't hit as hard.

I honestly don't see how it can be as bad as P4, like imho P4 was just just "good" to me, the story was kinda eh, and I figured out Adachi was the killer 7 hours into the game. also I felt the dungeons overall was a step down from P3, but overall gameplay a step up.

Tartarus was literally 264 completely randomly generated rooms that looked basically the same, except for that one block that was all psychodelic, with stronger enemies every now and then. At least P4 tried to throw in some retarded puzzles in an attempt to make it more interesting.

You want to know what's disappointing about P5?
Two things. One, the cruise ship, which is a very, very mediocre dungeon that comes right after the best one in the game and seems way worse than it is by comparison. The only good things about it are the exterior sections, Goro, and the final boss of it.
Two, there's not really much of a postgame other than Challenge Mode, which isn't even out yet for most people. Granted, there usually isn't much of a postgame in any persona until the re-release, but P3 at least had Monad when it came out. All P5 has is velvet twins, which is still a great fight, but it's in the same boat as P4 vanilla, which is never a good thing.

Moving on, Lucifer turns into a handgun with these stats (not going to even try to get a picture of the model).

There's also getting the plat which is pretty much impossible in one run. It's not really difficult but it took me around 200 hours to get it. I think P4G took me around 120.

This is what truly kills the man. If there's anything Persona always does right, it's how fulfilling the endings are. To hear P5 couldn't do even that makes me sad, but I hope this means the journey is good enough to compensate.

We're getting Persona 5: The Final Heist, right? The lack of NG+ content really bums me out; other SMT games have a shitload of optional NG+ content.

You have to go to NG+ for the twins fight anyway, and of course there's always getting max SLs and finishing off the Compendium like always. And you could always replay for the story.

Obviously I don't want to rule out DLC boss fights since Atlus is really into that as of late but for now that's what we've got.

Maxing stats on your first run is pretty easy, doing all SLs at the same time definitely is not

I'm talking about just before that, where the gap between escaping Goro and getting to the Goro fight is just a black hole where all the steam just disappears before suddenly reappearing.

Not typically, actually. usually it's single boss fights and maybe a short bonus dungeon in some cases. IV has the most super bosses, but they're entirely DLC, and before Maniacs SMT3 only had the Masakados dungeon (if even)

Honestly, I feel like even just a "true ending" can't even fix all the issues at this point, unless it changes the entire game at a really early point. I really want them to go with the duology route but I think that's too big and grand of a thing to happen
