YouTube car wash guide

>YouTube car wash guide
>it's 50 steps long, takes 2 hours, requires 15 different products and a fucking $300 water softener that attaches to the hose

Why is this allowed? What ever happened to soap, water, a rag/sponge, and glass cleaner if you're feeling lucky?

Swirl marks my dude

>he needed to watch a tutorial to learn to wash his car

some people can afford to make their car look nice OP, get over it you poor faggot.

>own white care
Dont care
>own gold or brown car
Dont care
>own silver car
Dont care
>own truck
Dont care
Basically dont own a dark color car

1 bucket - absolute retard normie mode
2 bucket - i like my paint enough
2 bucket with grit guards - i watched ammo nyc on youtube
3 bucket - you can never be too safe
3 buckets with grit guards - i am become the wash

Autists get autistic and try to shill their products.

Should be like this:
>Have 2 buckets: one for car soap, one for rinsing.
>Spray car with hose.
>Wash with microfiber mitt or towel.
>Occasionally rinse and re-soap mitt.
>Occasionally spray car off.
>Squeegee water. Dry with microfiber towel.
>Wax if you want.

Usually takes like 45 min. Foam guns are cool, but they're kinda expensive and only cut down on time by like 15 minutes.

Otherwise clay bar and glass clean if you're feeling fancy.

My grit guard broke my bucket after like 3 years. It's a meme and I dont think it helped that much.

>Tfw glass cleaning, clay barring, and waxing your windshield

wax>rainX

>Squeegee water
you mean the paint !?

what the fuck user

you dont squegee paint

I agree with the first two.

Waxing your windshield I don't recommend.
The sunlight can bake it to look like a hard water spot (more noticeable than on a panel) and it fucks with wiper rubber.

>wash car weekly
>only have to rinse with a pressure washer and sprinkle on some wheel cleaner

Feels good, man.

anyone got some spicy tips to prevent my wheels from being covered in brake dust?

I use the meguiars wheel cleaner, which is good for removing, but it doesn't seem to help much with preventing. can I just use car spray wax and wipe it with a microfiber after it's clean?

fair enough
the clay bar meme is a good one

As long as your not using something harder than the clear coat, you should be fine.

Most silicone squeegees are okay unless you're applying 100 lbs of pressure.

i prefer using my leaf blower (doesn't blow oil out) then drying with microfiber

Makes sense. I used compressed air when drying my bike. I just feel a blower to blow all the shit in my driveway everywhere.

Is Turtle Wax a good car soap?

i use the soap/wash just because it was cheap. i hear people don't like them as much

stop driving like an ass.if you drive fast everywhere you use more brakes which generates more dust.

yeah i got like 2 gallons for 6 bucks

meh. im sure there are better products but its so cheap

>driving fast wears down your brakes
You heard it here first

One bucket one mitt one chamois master race. I don't tire shine, because I'm grown.

No swirls here, get a real paint job.

>take to self-serve wash and pay my $2.50
>rinse with low-pressure washer
>soap
>rinse again
>air dry by ripping hektik pulls on the highway

I live where it's windy, dusty, foggy and almost never rains so after 2 weeks your car looks like it's been sitting in a barn for 20 years.

>Wash car
>it's dirty two days later

I regret buying a black car

>1 bucket - absolute retard normie mode

if your car isn't covered in shit i don't see why one bucket isn't fine

>take to self serve car wash
>Fill up two buckets
>Use two bucket method to wash car
>rinse off with spot free rinse
>dry with my hundreds of microfiber towels
>rain-x my windows
>Clay bar the car
>wax the car
>buff

Only down side is I have to wash my car at like 10 at night when the owner isn't there

>Wash car
>It's dirty in 2 hours
FTFY

How do I remove paint swirl marks? Am I fucked?

fel

I-I go to the car wash

No, don't worry. Wax and polish.

Why?

I thought you needed sandpaper to remove swirl marks

Can I do it by hand with simple wax, microfiber rags, and clay?

I usually just let the rain get most of it off. If it's really bad I use one of those brushes that attach to a hose.

>2016
>not going to a full service car wash to have the Mexicans clean and wax your car for 15$
Stay pleb Veeky Forums

Buy Obsidian Black Pearl WRX from older couple. scratches and swirl marks everywhere.

Pay local detailer who knows his shit to come fix my paint. Guy spends 8 hours meteculously washing, buffing, and waxing my car. Looked like sex.

Wash it for the first time with all the good shit. See a scratch I just made, makes me feel terrible.

you've soiled the krusty krabs reputation

Yes. And a lot of elbow grease!
