Ecoboost F150.
On what? Getting to the shop to have its engine replaced?
Aztec.

No such thing as Ferd pick ups in Europe.
european fords are completely different from murrikan ones, friend
1999 Rover R30 prototype, it was super close to getting launched, BMW nicked it when they sold Rover and used it as inspiration for the 1 series
>3-door hatchback
>OC do not steal
That is a super dated looking concept.
Just please explain to me how retro-styled european luxobarge was ahead of it's time?
...
>That is a super dated looking concept.
The technology within are years ahead.
...
>ford
>not shit
...
Some people call it the first cross over
...
2001
I guess it's low hanging fruit but w.e.
This is the only true answer in the thread
Can't argue with that. The racecar was already entered in races a year before the production street model was even finalized.
1967
design and mechanical bits are like 10 years ahead of the time
whilst we are on Rover...I'd argue the Streetwise urban crossover was way ahead of its time as well
You know the car
The SVO is the king of misunderstood heros like hitler or stalin. Prove me wrong
it wasnt that fast
it didnt handle well
its ugly
it was overpriced
it was years behind the european cars it tried to copy
no
1959
Neither the Streetwise or the shitty concept posted earlier are anywhere near Rover's best achievements in that time period. A Rover 414 of that period will outdrag a Fiesta of the same period, despite a Fiesta of that time being a subcompact and a 400 series being a reasonably sized car for Britain, because the K series is quite simply the best British 4 cylinder ever produced in a road car.
it was 85, it was not far behind. what do you think it was copying? the 944 turbo?
that was more than twice as expensive
1989
i agree with you
The germans did this before
/thread
Move aside plebians
how is it not behind
BMW was doing the whole FR turbo sports car thing in the early 70s
and it was still a complete underwhelmer in performance while being overpriced for what it was
and the Soviets did it way before
>First Direct Injection Diesel in the world
dude the mustang is being compared to a 2002 turbo now? they didn't even sell them in the usa.
are you sure the bmw was faster than it?
>Wasn't fast
Its was faster than ford's current 5.0 at the time. Which was a feat nevertheless fampie
>Bad handle
Define bad, I'm sure you've never done any research on this model
>ugly
I've noticed only women and lease babies say that about the foxbody
>overpriced
That what top of the line means
its a thread about cars before their time
the SVO wasnt ahead of the time in any way
the straight line performance of the 2 are pretty similar tho
>bigger engine
>12 years later
wew
>chebrolet-91
>ferd-75
FORD COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY ANNIHILATED 8/24/16
IT'S OVER, THEY'RE FINISHED, THE CLIFFS ARE A BONEYARD OF SCRAPPED FORDS
it was only faster in the early 80s when you had a whopping 140hp from a 4.9L v8
they plowed like a moterfucker and were shit over anything that wasnt perfectly smooth
maybe you should drive one
everyone that has any semblance of taste calls it ugly
only delusional enthusiasts think they look good
top of the line is still shit
you could buy a GT and outperform it for less
And BMW was behind Chevrolet in the Turbo RWD sports car game. He'll Chevy did the flat-six turbo RR coupe before Porsche did
the turbo Corvair was still slower than a 911 of the time
Chevy may have done it 1st but damn if Europe didnt do it better
I never said that the corvair was faster just that it was first. A corvair also costs like half what the 911 cost
That car was introduced as the "mustang that could corner" not go zoom zoom in a straight line. And it didn't sell well because of the fact it didn't have a desirable engine. Think it belongs here.
thats because you pay for what you get
Id rather have a good car than a cheap shitbox
but it doesnt
it didnt deliver on anything
it was a horrible car
the Boss 302 of the late 60s was advertised the same way and yknow what it was actually good for the time
> Engine Lasted longer than the car itself
> Most fuel efficient car in the 40's and 50's
That literally looks like one of those Kia Bentley ripoffs I believe it was called the amanti
It was more of a Jag+Mercedes rip off
