Which Honda Civic is best Honda Civic for my budget?

Not really looking for the slowest one out of the bunch but a model that has "decent" power to make it up and around all the steep hills and mountain roads i drive on everyday.

Also what features are worth the money?
Im mostly just looking for working A/C and Bluetooth.

I have 2 projects already so i dont give a shit about getting a Manual or anything stupid fast.

They are all pretty gay. Just pull a number out of a hat.

For 15k you should get a low mileage used Chevy volt.

get a brand new kia

Thought about it but ive never fucked around with a Hybrid. Id be doing all the work myself maintenance wise.
Dont know much about them anyways.

So take it to the dealer? You can still change the oil and filters yourself. Anything other than that isn't very fun or worth it.

OP here, at work atm so possible late replies until im off in 4 hours

Used Accord v6.

Yup. Go for this, I'd say spring for the coupe version

Yeah its really not fun anymore.
I have no time for both projects so im getting rid of one.

Whats the mpgs like?

>coupe
Ugh no thanks user, Sedan only for me.
Need more interior space

If you drive under 35 miles a day you won't use any gas except for maintenance burn.

Eesh i wish i drove that.
I drive about 100 miles a day

00-03 tdi with a manual transmission. 42+ mpg hwy. The autos were less reliable.

I don't think you'll find any with significant power differences outside of the Si.

You've pretty much answered your own questions

Get any of the 4dr 8th gen's with the features you want, you can probably afford a 9th gen with your budget.

Location?

I have a 9th gen and its great

For 15k you can get a 2013 with 50k miles and youl be good to go

Pic related is my base model LX

>15k budget
>Honda Civic
Lol. I bought my IS350 for $16k. Might want to reassess your options user.

Meh. You can get a brand new Kia/Hyundia or Cruze for that much, likely with more features.

15 can get you a one or two year old civic

get the more recent you can get basically, just look around on auto trader, kijiji, or on the websites of close-by honda dealers

Nope.

>9th gen
>great
Those are arguably the worst gen. Terrible.

Ill look into these too.
Do they still suffer from electronics failure?
My friends sister had a Jetta that would die whenever there was Mist out. Could never trace the problem

Well im not looking for a ton of power, just enough to get up hills without lagging.

California

Hah nice.
My father has a 2013 Civic he bought new and its not bad.
I drove his to work yesterday and even though it was a boring, i enjoyed it.
Was getting 37mpgs even with the A/C on.
Thats the reason im leaning so heavily towards the Civic.

Its the same R18 engine, chassis, transmission as 8th gen but updated interior & exterior design. Mine weighs 2800lbs and is manual

Pls explain why its the worst gen lol

2014 mazda 3
/thread

>comparing a civic to the Elantra

The Accent is sub $14k

Ya but then youre that fuckin cuck faggot driving a hyundai accent

>updated interior & exterior design
This is why it's the worst gen. Lol!

It's in the same shitty tier as a base model Civic.... Paying more for a slower car makes you a cuck in my books.

>Comparing b-class car and c-class.

No its not the same

Accent is a different tier of fagmobile

The Civic comes from a reputable company

The Korea shit car does not

Modern Honda's are pretty far from reputable, especially one with an A/T.

Shitty or not, you'd still pull more ass in a brand new Korean car vs a used base model civic.

Op here, nice to see my thread is devolving.

Question to the user with the Silver Civic, what are common problems you had?
Things that can be improved?

She had a shitty one or you took it bad mechanics that couldn't find the problem. Find a well maintained one for around 4k.

>Which Honda Civic is best Honda Civic for my budget?

>Mine weighs 2800lbs

mine weighs 650lbs less

I havent had any problems at all

I added a bigger rear sway bar and performance tires to help it handle better

The whole reason i bought it was cause i wanted a respectable dd that wouldnt fuck me around or cost me much, and its fulfilled all that perfectly

>modern hondas are pretty far from reputable, especially one with an A/T

nigger, a lot has changed since 2006. the automatics that honda has paired with their 4 cylinder cars- the civic and accord, especially- are literally fucking bulletproof. the 8th gen civic's biggest problem was with the block cracking because shit tier cooling. the 9th gen doesn't have that problem.

>you'd pull more ass in a brand new korean car vs a used base model civic.

you'd also pull more ass with a corvette than you would a gt-r. that doesn't make the corvette better.

>that doesn't make the corvette better.

9th gen sedan, pre-facelift
EP3 Si hatchback

>not looking for a ton of power
great you really don't have much of a choice anyways - what I was trying to get at. go for an 8th gen, I think it's lighter than 9th gen and I believe there's a 1.6l and 1.8l not sure if it was an option or only available certain years.

There was no 1.6

got that from wikipedia, may have been available in a different country or something

Used Acura TL or Lexus rx

Seriously. You could get a decent used luxury car for $15k. I would only think about buying a Civic if my budget was $10k.

I drive 100 miles a day, i need good mpgs
Thats essentially all i want.
Ill see if i can borrow his car again this weekend and drive it around again to see if itll make me go buy one

Nigga you are dumb, i dont want a luxury car.
Thanks for the suggestions though

>i need good mpgs
If you're short on cash, then why are you going to blow $15k on a car?

ayy theres my fellow 9th gen manual owner
i too have a 9th gen in manual trans also base lx.
(couldnt get higher trims in 2015 that were stick)
mines my daily. 50k miles on it today. average 33mpg with ac on and econ mode on good car for the price you can definetly find a 9th gen op for 15k

>Nigga you are dumb, i dont want a luxury car
If all you care about is an "A-to-B" vehicle, then you really don't need to spend $15k.

Now THAT is dumb. Nigger.

You could buy any Lexus sedan for sub $10k (is300, gs300, ls400) and spend the rest on maintenence, and have a RWD reliable daily that looks good and can be fun. The only difference is that it will be a few years older than a civic

>never mentioned being short on cash
Plus i have other gas gussling toys

Dad its okay to stop posting, you can come back home now

go find a brand new dart.
they're practically giving them away

If you're not short on cash, then why do you need mpgs?

>Dad
>come back home now
Just because he spends his free time sucking dick behind the dumpster at Dairy Queen doesn't mean you need to share that with Veeky Forums

Please show some discretion in the future.

>Plus i have other gas gussling toys
People who are concerned about MPG's don't have "toys". I'm calling bullshit.

Wat, why is this?
Poor reliability?
I havent kept up with the Dart

>commute 100 miles a day
>would rather commute in a car that doesnt need work
My cars all have 200k+ miles on them also

Im so s-sorry but we need you back from the mongolian hotpot recipe message boards

Or you know what?

Recommend me a baiku thats under 5k, im tempted to buy a starter bike and dick around with it until i get comfortable enough to commute on it.
Then i can spend my other money on pizza and beer for Toonami Nights
