Do you have a car family, Veeky Forums?

Do you have a car family, Veeky Forums?

I doubt most of them even have a functioning real family

This thread is moving so fast that nobody will notice that I'm gay

I have a family of cars.
But no car family.

>tfw over 10 vehicles
>tfw only 5 are safe to drive
>tfw only 3 can be driven on the road
>tfw none are valued over $2k
I think I own a junkyard.

i just have my wife, she doesn't have her license yet

>I think I own a junkyard.
If you think so, yes. But holy shit, 10 cars?!

Did you ever teach her learn stick? Not the one you are looking at now. The manual gear shift?

>tfw when your the only auto enthusiast in your entire family

Counting shells I have like 17(? I forget the actual number). Most are sitting on my buddy's farm rotting away. Next time I'm out there I'll take pictures for Veeky Forums.

What about her son?

my mom doesnt drive.

its embarrassing

Can't see shit.
1 mate who's into cars' appearance
1 mate who's into cars' performance
(both deliver)
me who I am into enjoying the fact of owning "a vehicle" registered onto my name.
We rarely see each other. I'm only ever driving alone. Is that a family?

i feel this pain to

I have a best friend who I guess would be my car brother. We do everything together. Oil changes, masturbate, exhaust installs, track days, and just car stuff.

I went to Lime Rock Park ( a racing track) a while ago for the IMSA Northeastern Grand Prix with a friend and I was a bit bummed out by seeing entire families enjoying themselves while nobody in my family likes cars.

>brother is 21 and doesnt have his license
>mom is in her 40s and doesnt have her license
>stepdad drives a shitty van and refuses to replace it.

We live in a state where you need a car.

fucking pathetic desu.

who /ImaginaryCarFamily/ here?

>tfw I watch YouTube videos of car clubs pretending I'm a part of their crew
Truly suffering

>tfw im probably never going to be in a crew

...

Yes
Veeky Forums

...

>tfw when your brother and father are even more into cars than you are.

My dad had an '82 RX-7 up until about '97. The seals had blown on him sometime in the 80's (pretty sure he had to replace the engine), but otherwise it was all original and in fantastic shape. Despite my curiosity, I try not to bring it up since he deeply regrets not keeping it.

lookin at the bright side

It might be a dysfunctional family but that would just match my actual family.

but Veeky Forums hates each other. and collectively speaking, hates almost every car.

I've been wondering about this. What car does Veeky Forums not hate?

mclaren f1, e30 m3, porsche 911

not talking about how much they cost. but just the car itself.

No, because
>yurop

The E30 and M3 are shit

I hate all German cars and I know I'm not the only one.

your opinions are invalid

thanks for the (you)'s tho

>Do you have a car family, Veeky Forums?

Taillight
In the shadow
I see you, I feel you
When we come close
Two hearts beat
In the red zone
In the highway, truly as one

Two hearts beat as one
I follow your taillight

(Wherever you are)
Our road never ends
(I'll be close to you)

Forever with you
(Forever with you)

Are you my grandpa

And your aren't? LOL

Kinda.

Limited by this, somewhat.

My mother likes cars, and has a bunch of mechanical knowledge because she grew up on a farm. She now drives an automatic slushbox, but she has MS and can't use a clutch pedal.
My father has mechanical knowledge because he grew up in the 60s when shit had to be actively maintained in order to function day to day. But he's an idiot and keeps breaking things and buys expensive shit that breaks.

My sister is mechanically useless.

I like cars, and I'm gaining as much knowledge as I can.
I know enough to know what I don't know, currently, which is a step up from semi-competent blissful ignorance. I can do basic maintenance and even slightly involved tasks, and diagnose issues to get them fixed by a professional.

>ywn do high speed cruises with your friends at the wangan after midnight.

I didn't ask for this feel, but I do not wish it to go away...

THE BUSTER CAME BACK AND GOT ME

>own mr2
>hate cars newer than 1990
>need a car that;
>can lug surfing gear*
>extra peopple*
>camping gear*
>take dogs around*

*not all at the same time

what do?

ausfag here.

I lost them all to drinking and to driving

forgot
>like special snow flake cars / not normal ones

only option i can really see around is a defender/merc g class

Really only 1 of my close friends is into cars as much as me, other friends in our group are into trucks. Oh well better than nothing
If you mean literal family my dad is a big car guy, so naturally me and my brother are into cars.

I have one friend who taught me a good amount about fixing and building cars. We cruise and go to car shows, fix shit together. One other "car friend" likes cars as a side interest, not necessarily a lifestyle. My grandpa loves cars and we love working on them and talking about them. Feels good man.

I hate the E30.

911s are okay depending on the generation.

F1 a god.

Wtf I hate the e30 m3 now

Ive got a best mate who is my car family. We spend our days tinkering in the garage, drinking beer and going out for drives.

We usually choose matching cars (ie. both got a muscle car at the same time, both got a rotary at the same time, both got old school 4wds etc.), we get them running sweet and then going on adventures.

Life is good

...

...

I did, until I learned more about them.

Then it was a mistake.

ktf. not a good feel.

also only one in my social circlerino.

>tfw its been a dream of yours to recreate the golden days of street racing in your home country
>tfw you realise that will probably never happen due to fnf tax, mad policing etc.

Im still keeping my dream alive, it'll happen one day
