I agree, Catalina Island is the best place for car culture.

Crop out San Diego, because the only car culture here is when an LA group comes down to drive at Palomar Mountain

SoCal roads are garbage, NorCal is where it's at, I've been on deserted ranchers roads that were still kept in immaculate condition, whereas the 405 is just one rung above driving on cheese graters.

Nope.

The entire state is becoming a shithole. Pic related.

>Los Angeles area can claim the worst traffic in America. Again

>Los Angeles Roads Are the Second Worst in America

>Southern California cities ranked at bottom of 2016 Allstate Best Drivers Report
abc7.com/traffic/socal-drivers-ranked-as-some-of-the-worst-in-allstate-report/1403980/

The only thing SoCal has ever been good at is attracting subcultures like a magnet. Every measurable quality about the area is absolutely horrid. And it doesn't even have low costs going for it, the fuel is expensive, too.

>anywhere near salt water
are you mad ?

Palm Springs has the best car culture mainly because there isn't one there every other city's car culture is pig disgusting.

Can I touge here?

Hasn't Hawaii topped Los Angeles for worst traffic? Thought I saw that somewhere...

outside of angeles crest, which is basically touge mecca, socal only has the malibu area and some places inland of san diego, along with tiny touges scattered inbetween, its okay, but the idea of driving for any sort of enjoyment during the daytime traffic is a joke

No shit that's why you tougeh at night.

Plus points if you know the local cop joint.

If its so cool then why dont you guys have a general?

/thread

>n/o/rcal
>gay sex meetup general
not surprising considering you guys are all from san francisco

huehuehue so funny senpai

Heres a stereotype for you

>socal meetup
>all daddys money and mexicans driving ancient riced out evos

heres a stereotype for you
>norcal meetup
>beta males with metrosexual haircuts get on the public transportation system and meet up at an internet cafe to watch furry porn

Alright now you're just being petty.

We know your sad that you cant touge with your local Veeky Forumstists, dont take it out on bestcal.

>being gay
>having aids

>messican
>doesnt know about condoms

actually that explains a lot

>being this mad your half of the state is irrelevant and is filled with literal gays and is the reason the rest of the US hates us

>lives in literal shithole
>blames the gays

Move out of the desert buddy, all that sun is making you cranky

North cali > sourthern cali

Better weather, Better scenery, Better touges, not a desert.

Wtf I hate California now

NorCal best Cal

>best area on earth for cars/car culture?
>anywhere in califailia

>black cars on the verge of being illegal
>Nazi levels of inspections and "smog" bullshit
>most performance mods are illegal
>that 25 year import law
>pathetic "canyuns bro" roads that are lined with houses, squids and pigs

This is the opinion of people who don't know socal roads.

Yeah our retard main roads are shit but we're hiding diamonds

This totally redeems Los Angeles, right?

But California doesn't have inspections, most performance mods aren't illegal and even if they where there are no inspections, and the import ban goes for the entire country.

Central Valley is best place
>Flat straight roads for hundreds of miles
>Potholes every 5 feet
>Zero scenery
>Ricers and beanermobiles everywhere
>Everyroad has a truck blocking it

In an attempt to have a productive conversation, who's going to KKTSD16 tomorrow?

>posts map of California
>says is best driving roads
>mfw posts wrong half of california
Good job op you live in the worst part of the country

This

No it's definitely socal that makes the rest of America hate Cali, the roads are garbage, the air is garbage, the weather is garbage and the people are garbage too. I don't even live in California anymore and norcal best cal

I've been through the Malibu canyons, up to Mt Wilson, around Beverly Hills, down to Huntington Beach and every where in between. Most roads here make the lunar surface look smooth.

Whereas I've circled the entire SF bay area and can probably count all the potholes on 1 hand. The maintenance standards are not even comparable. There's a reason the good cars stay up north or in OC, and LA is just ricing boy racer douchebags.

For the most part, the best LA roads are the ones leaving LA, lol.

California shitposting aside, living in Northern Colorado is fuckin great as a car guy. Granted there's not much of a "scene" but there's definitely meets and clubs and shit you can get involved with if that's your thing.

But the absolute best thing is the touges

Like holy fuck absolutely incredible driving roads everywhere, you can find roads with no traffic, no cops, butter smooth asphalt fuckin 10 minutes out of any of the decent major cities

Winters are snowy but that's why you get a Subaru shitbox for a winter beater

That and you can smoke all the legal weed you want before you hit the touge

Have fun losing power due to high elevation

>it's another "what is the ____ and why it is ____?" thread

Wrong.

True enough. Still rather live in CO than CA any day, though. We even have legal weed before you dumbasses.

I have the choice of 4 canyon roads within 30 min of my house, plus offroad shit everywhere.

I fucking love that piece of road. Only problem was the stoplight halfway through for construction.

Any idea if its still there?

No longer there if it's the one you mean, there is still the one right before Calistoga, but on either side it's clear now, no more one lane roads.
Great drive to do, I suggest late at night for no traffic, just gotta drive within your limits to not kill yourself or anyone else

>america

enjoy waiting 25 years to import a car

You're retarded, the 25 year old import law is what applies to all US cars. It's only irrelevant in Florida because the DMV there is privatised and you could literally register a shopping cart if you paid.

The major difference is that you have to go through extensive testing and hit strict emissions targets for direct import cars even if they're 25 years old.

Where you at fellow CO fag
