So does anyone still play this shit? It's on steam, and they recently added V12 and V6 engines.
Also, r8 my Lotus killer.

>Makes peak power at redline
You should probably raise that or use a less aggressive cam. It's dumb to never be able to actually reach peak power because you hit fuel cut at the same time.
>turbocharged 4valve v6
>300hp
>not putting in an oversquare bore aluminium block N/A 3~ liter I6 with a redline of 8k
I was thinking of picking it up during the summer sale but it wasnt much cheaper and the game doesn't seem to have much content for $30
>and they recently added V12 and V6 engines.
wondering if you can try to remake an IRL engine in game for me? I wanna see how realistic it is.
>year: 1991
>engine: 60* V6 "Twin Dual Cam V6"
>DOHC, 24 valves
>Multi-port EFI (non-sequential)
>92mm bore
>84mm stroke
IRL, the engine made 210 HP, and 215 ft-lbs, but was heavily rumored to have been detuned from 280 HP so the automatic transmissions would survive.
I still play it often
>5.7 mpg
>dem emissions
>peak at redline
aint looking too good
post the performance numbers tho
anyhoo
my latest car is of a similar time period so Ill post it
2.3L L4
192hp@5400
207lbft@4300
0-62 in 6.9
low 15 second 1/4
can almost pull 1g in cornering on medium compound
you can get pretty close sometimes
turbo engines are a bitch to replicate since the games turbo modeling is bad atm
Ill see what I can do while I have it running
>Ill see what I can do while I have it running
Thanks. BTW, the engine in question is GM's LQ1.
en.wikipedia.org
well I can easily get the output
rpms arent exact
Cool. Now let that fucker loose.

You made a Quad 4 Oldsmobile but somehow got the Quad 4 to actually make torque?
11.5 compression and everything all tuned for max hp
turbos are amazing
simply running premium and upping the boost gets 200hp@4600 and 240lbft@3900
I am amazed by the accuracy there. The redline is right, and the power RPMs are only a few hundred rpm off. It even resembles the IRL engine.
Assuming that fucker is accurate, there's a LOT of untapped potential in the IRL engine. IRL compression ratio is 9.25:1
>turbos are amazing
ah. That explains it. The W41 Quad 4 Oldsmobiles were 190 HP/160 ft-lbs N/A screamers. They were some of the first N/A competitors to Honda's VTEC engines that people took seriously.
This game is really cool. I'm blown away by the realism.
Won't fit m8.
>material cost is cheaper for the racing version
wat
well it doesnt have cats which is a major reason
most of the parts are made of cheaper material compared to stock it just takes longer to build
Flat 4's when?
I'll wait until they fully implement the career mode. It looks fun as it is already, but I don't want to play it to death yet, when the main gameplay mode isn't included yet. It does look really interesting though
>added V12 and V6 engines
Can someone make a 660ccm V12 engine aswell as recreating the """Ecoboost""" V6 engine only to make a V8 engine which is better in every way? Please and thank you
305 hp from v6? I got 280 from I4 with 2.3 displacement.
But this is 1982 m8.
v8 stronk
>lotus killer
its already dead
>there will never be an Automation+Beam.NG+Test Drive Unlimited mash up where you crash your self built jalopy around the island
tfw you will never own a inline 6 geo with 9100 rpm redline and 701 hp
Pretty meh game, engines cap out at 2700hp. (16L V12 with 3PSI), so not that realistic once you really go wild.
>Can someone make a 660ccm V12 engine
Working on it.
Does that shit have a mid-mounted engine?
Smallest I can go on the V12 is 45x42.5mm, so 811cc.
Pic related is full race n/a spec (15:1 CR). Turbo build coming right up.
10.4 CR, 10:1 AFR, 3 Bar of boost.
Look at that power curve!
perfect kei car engine
>recreating the """Ecoboost""" V6 engine only to make a V8 engine which is better in every way?
Ford GT ''600+hp'' Ecoboost V6, or truck spec Ecoboost V6?
PRV power
you can get over 3000hp easily enough
not that theres any point to engines that nuts
Thanks
doesn't really matter t b h
I love this game, I've worn myself out on it a bit though so I'm going to stop playing until the UE4 engine swap. Just making budget cars in this game is fun times.
Pic related, truck spec 365hp Ecoboost V6.
>DOHC 4v V6
>aluminium block+head
>92.5 mm stroke, 86.6mm bore
>no VVL, does have VVT
>forged/billet bottom end (so it doesn't fail testing)
>10:1 CR
>50% cam profile
>51mm compressor, 34mm turbine, .36A/R (BW K03), 0.85 Bar of boost
>Direct injection, single intake, regular filter, regular fuel (91 RON)
>13.5 AFR, 50% spark advance.
Somethign is wrong though. I'm only getting 100hp. When I optimise the turbine specs, I get about 380, which seems right.
Have you destroked it a second time in the variance bore/stroke section?
Yes, otherwise it'd be ~1150cc.
How small can you go on the 4cyl?
We should do liter engines, but I'm at work
Anyone play beamng drive?
see
The real question is does anyone still play Test Drive Unlimited 2 on PC? That would be fun as hell to play together if there was servers up
muh melanin enriched specimen
blessed
You have an excellent sense of aesthetics sir.
