What car did your parents buy you when you were in high school/college?

Corvette

kek

pics? what year?

Cavalier and forester respectively. Still have both.

None

Volvo 850 GLT sedan, paid $4000
Even though my parents helped complete the transaction, it was paid for with my money.

None because I didn't need one at the time and had no income so it would've been a completely moronic expense eating up my savings. My grandpa gave his Corolla to me later on, I'm gonna give it to my sister soon.

This

nothing. i just drove their cars till i bought my own car.

Rode the bus in high school. Then we made do with two vehicles for 5 out of the 6 years. Then my mom got tired of it and they bought a civic for 2k.

2015 Lexus ES 350

Can't complain, really.

this. we had the family "truck" so I used this until I got my truck.

It was a Hot Wheel

I inherited mom's 91' explorer, she got a 2004 model. I really wish I would've kept it, I eventually sold it for almost nothing.

Blue book said it was worth about $1000 at the time I got it.

This hunk of shit Nissan Sentra which I shared with my sister. Didn't have any dents it was in good condition. 1 little scratch until my sister got a hold of it and got in 2 car accidents with it

...

Got my Dad's 1992 300D 2.5 Turbo

>FB RX-7
>gradually payed parents back because workan
those were hectic times

Got my dad's 1995 Corolla. Then after about a year my sister bought a new car and I got her 2006 Corolla.

Both great cars, my dad kept them both in amazing condition and I learned how to wrench from him.

>What car did your parents buy you when you were in high school/college?

Nothing. They didn't buy any cars for me.

They also didn't help me pay for college. Zero dollars for college. I put myself thru college and I used a bicycle. By the way, my parents also did not buy a bicycle for me even when I was in high school.

I have not talked to them in many years now.

Dad got himself a 1987 4runner and hated it so I got it.

my parents have never bought me a car. I was on my 3rd car when I was 18 years old.

Nothing. I was rightly expected to earn money and buy a car. I never raised the subject or wanted to.

Bought Honda MT 250 and rode the fuck out of it. Rode motorcycles exclusively until about age 27, then bought truck to haul shit.

You can never have too many motorcycles, but trucks are good for work and severe weather. Cars bore me.

That's an odd picture.

This. Let's talk about it. That Mopar thread with the tranny got me fired up for turbododge again and there's a likely suspect right in my area. Just need to get the wife another car first or she'll be pissed I have three manuals.

None. If I wanted to drive I needed my own car.

muh flex test

>truck

But seriously tho the RX300 is comfy AF
Miss mine

none because my parents didnt want me to be a freeloading faggot

Don't worry, your parents weren't the only ones who didn't expect a baby

that's why it is in quotation marks. hauled so many bikes, sod, skis, dogs and shit with it so that's why.

thing was truly comfy though, great high school shag pad as well.

None. My family was solidly middle-class, but made work for everything I wanted or needed, as they thought it built character. I had to work a shitty McJob for a year and a half before I got my first car in high school, a Toyota Corolla.

Are you me?
Hauled wood, an engine, a transmission and tons of tools with mine

good to hear that others used the fuck out of these things. I was considering one when I bought my current car, but they all had too many miles for too high of a price.

I drove a Camry a few years older than I was for almost all of high school. It's still my dad's commuter car now. My parents put me on the title for the Lexus LS400 but it's not really mine, I'm just the one making repairs because neither of them want to put in money to maintain it.

Parents got me a 1991 Chevy Corsica shitbox. It was total junk but it was still my first car. Kinda wish I didn't have to bring it to the junkyard but I have a much nicer car now.

I shared the shitbox passat wagon with my mom, till my grandparents gave up driving and gave me their pos corolla. Mom is getting me an E36 in a few months from a friend. Corolla will be sold to help buy me a mint AW11. Then my mom will take the E36 and fuck with it to make it a track masheen.

Kek. Buy me? I had an 87 hand me down Jeep Cherokee that was passed down to me in highschool. In college I saved up and bought a Ford escort zx2 and riced the fuck out of it.

> all these fags that had parents that didn't love them

must suck

My current car

95 civic

None
But they bought my sister a Dodge Neon so I'm grateful they didn't buy me anything.

2200€ Honda Fireblade 900RR

>Love
>128 hp donorcycle

>I have not talked to them in many years now.

Did they have the money to do those things and just chose not to? I think you're trying to convey that they should have helped you more but i'm not seeing anything inherently wrong with what they did or did not do. If they housed you while you went through college that in itself is something. Again i don't know the details though.

1998 Cadillac Deville

1996 dodge stealth. Was p damn sweet. My first gf broke up me because I scared her while driving

pic related
i didn't like the color and wanted something faster
so i turned around and sold it for 1K more than we bought it for and gave the extra money to my parents as thanks

then bought a saab

different user, but I had a similar situation.

>use parents' bank account for financial aid disbursion for college (when money comes out, it goes to them) as I didn't have a bank account at 18
>get my spring semester aid money and my mom ends up spending it on a vacation to Costa Rica and a $1500 bike, find out the day before midterms start that I'm $3300 short on tuition for the semester
>get through the semester but have to drop because I owe the jews money
>have to waste a year wage slaving to pay it off with interest, because jews
>just started back in on college out of my own pocket two weeks ago

That's why I don't talk with my parents any more.

Had to work for it, although they did offer to co-sign.

My grandparents handed me down a Mk4 jetta when they got a new car.

Parents bought me a 2000 Mazda Miata because they were sick of having to drive my sister to her job

first a 1994 lexus ls400, then a year later an auto 2014 hyundai elantra GT. want to buy myself a new new car but parents wont sell it until the warranty runs out, and it would be pretty pointless having 2 cars right now. ill just suffer for another year till the warranty ends and then get a toyobaru or something. im also a spoiled shit

none, i bought my own car you fucking trust fund babbies :^)
