1st gear goes to 65mph

>1st gear goes to 65mph
>2nd gear goes to 100mph

What POSSIBLE reason could they have for fitting such long gearing to a car that only revs to 7000?

why does it need a 7 speed then?
in my opinion this numbers game is over rated

It has something Yuros have never had user: torque.

Why make the gearing short if it's just going to spin its tires?

>Implying euros don't have torque too

Implying the bus riders on Veeky Forums can even drive a rig

>goes to = cruising
7th gear probably hits 1200RPM at highway speeds. Dat fuel economy.

>muh diesel
The torque comes from the tarbos

>3rd gear goes to 150mph
>4th gear goes to 200mph
>5th gear goes to 250mph
>you can go 300mph in Reverse

what's the problem here

>300mph at 7000rpm in reverse
>use reverse for highway driving
>600rpm at 70mph
>can give tailgaters the finger

sharts in marts are so cute when they try their pathetic baits

>tfw yuropoors are shitting up Veeky Forums again

We need a yuro containment board.

We have two.

Kek.

We even make better trucks than burgers.

Only euros can make something as masculine as a truck look like a total kek

From someone with a fox body, I can't imagine there's any other reason to have such tall low gears than to avoid the "mustangs spontaneously spin out" meme when shitty drivers stomp on a GM.

Spoken like a true ricer millenial cuckbaby who doesn't know what torque is or how to drive with it effectively.

>inb4 muh screamy fartbox stancetrash Honderp is faster

And to think you were the fittest spermatozoan in your pop's nuts...

it's basically a 4 speed with triple overdrive.

only americans can look at every damn thing they see as a potential opportunity to enhance their masculinity

>Spoken like a true ricer millenial cuckbaby

Holy shit, dude, stop trying so hard to fit in

>Holy shit, dude, stop trying so hard to fit in

Pretty much what ur mom said.

so why? if it has such tall gearing. what is the point

Hey man...

Jesus fucking christ you morons. It's the track special. Its for track performance. Instead of having to lug second in lower-speed corners, first is tall enough to let you blast out of a lower-speed corner.

better fuel economy when cruising. 29mpg on highway

Using 1st gear on anything but extremely tight hairpins just seems all wrong to me.

>300 ftlb torque @ 1000 rpm
>lugging the engine in 2nd gear in a low speed corner
you possess below average intelligence

That's because you and I are used to gearboxes with more normal gear spacing and ratios. My first gear tops out at 25.
OK, "lugging" was perhaps not the best choice of words, but it's going to be faster to be in first below 60 mph.

stop said piece of shit from overheating

>b-but muh torq
lmao ameiclaps

>redlining every gear in normal driving.

>Not having survival skills
Sure sucks to be NEET doesnt it

Poor people are easily confused.

0-60 times in magazines that boomers read + CAFE standards.

The car is built for going fast around a track. Having a tall first gear and close gear ratios work well on a track in a powerful vehicle.

Why do you fagets keep talking about this as if it was your typical 150hp shitbox?

>not having a carbed engine and setting your engine to idle at its redline
>not modding your oil pan to hold 35 quarts
>not deleting your accelerator pedal
>not having a clutch that's 6 inches thick

That sounds fun as fuck to launch.

That's basically NHRA drag cars in regards to operation. WOT, launch is basically feeding the clutch IIRC.

"only revs to 7000?"

You realize that a pushrod V8 engine that revs to 7k while shitty Hondas rev to only 6500 is awesome in itself.

I bet you think that DOHC engines are more advanced that pushrods.

Dohc is more advanced yes. Anyone with half a brain knows this

>meanwhile most pushrod engines redline at 5000rpm

You do know that you don't have to take it to redline every time you shift right?

>meanwhile most pushrod engines redline at 5000rpm

Uh maybe in a 1980 silverado... Which still revs higher than your 0.9l diesel.
