So I have a question for you whizkids. I am fucking around with my Ninja 250 and plan on removing the two mufflers. I know this will increase air flow so my bike will be running a little lean. I am too lazy for a carburetor jet kit or whatever nonsense I need to tune it properly so can I just partially crack the choke and accomplish the same thing?

I guess for my plan to work I would have to create a more rich environment without restricting the air intake, correct? That is the only way to balance out the increased exhaust airflow

no, you need to rejet it so it doesnt cause other problems such as over heating, burnt valves or just shit for power(moreso)
The exhaust us there for a reason so that theres no air going inside the combustion chaimber and modifing the mixture.

No no no. It wasn't the jets that were the problem. When I bought the bike it was properly jetted with a 155 or 160 main jet. It never ran just right and any angle made it flood. The carb was fucked beyond tuning. I bought a new carb which worked perfectly, but had a 190 main jet so it ran way too rich. So I swapped the 190 for a 155 and now it runs top notch.

It was a stock BSR36, replaced with another BSR36. It was most likely a float issue but my floats and valve looked good. Also the idle a/f mixture screw looked abnormal.
Literally everything comes down to clutch work in that course. Practice the fuck out of it

Somewhat but not really. You use the clutch at low speeds to smooth throttle inputs. The ONLY experience in a car that transfers over to motorcycles is being able to stay calm when the back end steps out or other unexpected shit happens
