The first car your father owned is now your daily driver forever.

How fucked are you?

>pic related

It was a 1991 Honda Civic.

Totally fucked.

>tfw my father can't see the color red so he never owned a car and I have to drive him everywhere

>67 yellow Road Runner with a 440 and black racing stripe

Meep Meep motherfucker.

It was a diesel
It's a nifty little car, but driving it over the age of 30 would be just humiliating and uncomfortable

not a racer but good enough

>moskvich

Im fucked.

Not sure what he drove exactly, but it was a manual transmission Oldsmobile from the 80s.
So how were Oldsmobiles from that era anyways?

>your father's first car thread
>full of slav death traps and shit from the fucking 80s
You people should all be banned for being slavic, underage, or a combination of the two.

also known as the first car for every Pole born between 1930s and 1980s

slavic deathtraps are thebes mang

Welp... At least it's cute.

Not bad

Neat,

though there was a massive hole in the floorboard and had been used as a chicken pen - totally worth it.

>1957 Ford Consul

I would imagine parts are gard to find

>and shit from the fucking 80s

>maths are hard
According the guy bought it new that would mean he was born in the 60's-early 70's. He could have a 30 years old child.

He said that back in the day it was a laughing stock. Now it's a pretty damn nice classic. Pic related because it looks the most similar and I have no pictures of it.

Have you treid explaining it to him on how it looks like?

>father
I am a busrider master race now

So your dad never had a car, or you never knew him? Don't know what's the saddest.

Noot noot!

Possession is theft comrade.

>sorry I can't accept crack for trades

>corolla KE30 coupe
Not the sprinter but i am ok with this

...

Wouldn't mind actually

>nostalgia

I'll take it

fug

>paint color: Depression Grey

>back in the day it was a laughing stock

Well, it's just skill level 2.

I honestly have no idea what my fathers first car was I know he's driving something french atm. On the other hand I know that my mothers first car was VW Jetta.
>Pretty fucked it broke down almost all the time and had rust on it.
My mothers car history:
VW Jetta (last german car in our family)
Saab 95
Volvo 360
Fiat Punto
Fiat Stilo
Volvo V40
Volvo V50

>dad's first car was a 69 stang
I'm okay with this.

A datsun bluebird with hektik mods and a 1.3l engine.

I'm OK with this

60s opel kadett, I'll survive

wew

damn I haven't seen this car in ages

brings so many memories

>mfw don't know my father
>these polos used to be absolutely everywhere in the 90s
>haven't seen one in years
they were absolut shit, weren't they?
i loved the look of the quad headlight option as a kid

>underage
Kek my dad's first was a 1984 Ford truck, got dat sweet sweet manual with a button in the foot well to turn high beams on or off

What ever happened to that button?

Some 70s VW Beetle in bright orange, could be worse but he only ever had shit cars.
>VW Beetle (orange)
>VW Beetle (yellow)
>VW Golf Mk2
>Mazda 323 hatch
>Mazda 323 wagon
>Mazda 323 sedan
>Hyundai Atos
>Hyundai Matrix
>Ford Focus C-Max
>Hyundai i20

I'd rather be a bus rider for the rest of my days.

>3rd world detected

69 camaro six cylinder.

Could be worse.

no problem

Could be worse

>manual Volvo 240 wagon
Not bad, would drive

55 Studebaker Champion? I can work with this. Alternately a blue and grey 66 Triumph Bonneville

This in gray. Had he fixed the trans he still might have kept it to this day. Olds 350 and Turbo 400>Chevy 350 with Turbo 400

>69 f100 4x4 with a 360 and a 4 speed
this is fine.

'65 GTO hardtop with a 4-spd manual.

I'm okay with this.

My mom's was a first-gen Celica with a 5-spd.

I'm definitely fine with that too.

Hint: They were both USAF jet pilots, I was born to need dat rush. My mom was still buying turbo-4 or V8 manual coupes into her 60's.

>96 corolla
At least it has aftermarket
>that shitty autotragic they put in it
fug

>underage b&

They were cheap and I think they were pretty good engine-wise. Total rustbuckets though.

How old are you that your fathers first car was a 91 civic?

My father had exactly same car. And actually it was a dream car of a lot of people. Compared to other eastern shitboxes it had somewhat good drivability and was quite comfy. Especially in winter.

>1972 Chevelle

Das cool mane

I think it was a 57 Chevy, so I'm good.

Pretty good man. Would daily.

>rebuilt 72 Cevelle SS

hell yeah

My father told me his first car was a two door Mazda with pop up headlights that he bought in the 80s when he first moved to the USA.

He bought it in the 80s, but could be older model.

I'd be super okay with that.

I'd rather kill myself, or even worse, use public transportation.

I don't know how to feel about this.

>1957 Volkswagen Karmann-Ghia

Pretty fucked bud

You kidding? Those things look great and have the same engine as the Beetle, which has an absolute fuckton of aftermarket support.

Hell, you could probably WRX swap it like people do with Beetles.

IIRC, Ghias had the type 4 motor, not the type 1 the beetles had, but yes an EJ swap could be done, but since it's a daily and not a project it's a non-factor

Tы этo я.

Fair enough, but since they're still Beetle-related they should be dead simple to work on.

I also happen to love how they look, so I may be a bit biased.

No, they do look great and they are easy to work on, but the only thing they really share with the Beetle is engine placement and drive and the fact that it's a VW, the problem is that for a daily they are gutless

LADA 1600

>im ok with this.

Not bad, I'd drive it proudly, but I preffer the old model with rectangular headlights.

A rusted-out Renault 5, with a hole of the size of a plate in the floor. Plus frame was also badly rusted.

So yeah, count me as fucked.

>dacia

Busrider forever
My father never even had a licence

similar to pic related

not bad

Oldest one I remember: mid-60s Jaguar
Oldest one I know about: mid-50s Porsche

Probably were others previously, but he's kill, so I can't ask him.

My father has no license so I'm gonna post my grandfather's car instead.

>his plates were "39-91 LEL"

fmm de comunist

fuck u man they're not that bad

My grandpappy has an orange one back in the homeland, like 8000km on it, shits pristine

When he dies I have full intention of importing the cunt into burgerland and having a sickass "classic"

I don't think my father's owned any cars before pic related we got in like 2004, not the absolute worst i guess

>dat RUDM

It's fine.. i think

same as you, op

>FWD
>80s
>GM

Not completely fucked though, at least it was manual.

1979 lada niva

I can dig it.

I believe my dad's first car was a Fiero. I wouldn't mind desu

68 Olds Cutlass
>I'm ok with this

But do we get a nice example of the car, or the same exact car? Because I would guess dads was pretty beat, even though it was only a few years old at the time.

It's too bad, I wanted one anyways

>225 3spd
>insert random profanity

Im good

The same. I'm fucked.

This is actually an awesome car. As a 1970 500 owner, a lot of the parts are the same. You would have a lot of fun driving this.

It could be worse, I'm sure

>tfw there's a hole in the floor and you can't open the right door for some reason

Basically this thing, but in dark grey and without the US bumpers. 1.5 liters of carbuteted three-valve fury good for 75 hp.

Honestly I don't even mind, slow old shitboxes are my fetish

'76 Opel Ascona 1.6L I think
I actually quite like it

he always talks about his old 68 cougar with 302 be bought with money he got from washing dishes. wish he had pictures of it, so many great stories about that car.

Do want.
His was blue though. Don't remember if it was actually his or my Granddad's, if it wasn't his then it would be a 2nd Gen Celica.

'71 Plymouth Duster
>3 speed manual

Could be worse I guess.

Fuck yeah wedges

I never knew him.

t. bastard
