fuck off euroscum

Being rich rents happiness, but doesn't buy happiness.

>Do you ever fear getting rich will make life emptier?

Money can literally buy you substance in your life or provide the opportunity for substance.... if you just put in the tiniest effort.

>limo
>2000 suit
>40,000 watch
it's this kind of stuff in movies that make stupid people stay poor

It's fucking representative for his social and cultural capital, you faggot. People wear luxurious stuff for a reason.

>having more financial security
>less stress of being broke
>emptier

Lol.

I don't fear it, I know it.

my first 4x4 truck was a used bronco ii that I saved for three months to buy. I fucking quit smoking to afford that truck. I scrimped and saved to pay for every single modification on it. It was my blood, sweat and tears built that truck.

I loved it, it had meaning to me.

Now if I want a 4x4 I go buy it. Takes an hour or two tops. I do not love my current truck, it has no meaning to me. The same is true of pretty much everything I own and do. It hasn't ruined things completely, just made them cheaper. Less meaningful.

your mileage may vary.

>Being rich rents happiness, but doesn't buy happiness.

This is like virgins giving advice about sex.

Being rich can absolutely buy you happiness. Move to the silicon valley, SF, or Manhattan and make some rich friends. you'll start to understand.

I'm US faggot

I don't think so. The only way would be if I was sacrificing significant time away from my family and friends in order to make that money.

A few years back I had the opportunity to lead the opening of a remote branch in another country. Awesome money, benefits, and lifestyle, but I'd be working constantly and was 1,000 miles away from my family and friends. I turned it down.

An old Jewish man used to tell me "Make the money, don't let the money make you". He was saying that you shouldn't go against your values or diminish your enjoy and quality of life in order to make money.

You do realise that he was fucking with his audience in that scene? His "gold" Tag Heuer which he throws in the crowd is worth 40k according to him, but it really is not worth even 1000 dollars. This guy was a total scam artist, both in the real world and in that movie.

get out

To make the people who sell it rich too.

/thread

t. someone who doesn't have rich friends
I think procrastination would be my biggest problem if I were rich, with literally nothing stopping me just browsing the chan while deep down I'd rather do some more meaningful shit.

Ok everyone think about is this way...

In life you always focus on what's missing. The missing tiles. For a poor person, their missing tiles are food, security, attracting mates, having friends, etc. Rich people have all that so the missing tiles they focus on is "meaningfulness".

Are rich people happier than poor people? No, it's the same. Your brain is just a bunch of atoms, and being "rich" or "poor" is just a certain arrangement of atoms, your brain has no objective way of determining if you are rich or poor. Humans will always find half of their life bad, and half of their life good. It is all relative. Objectively, we are living more luxurious lifestyles then the richest kings in the past. But it doesn't matter because you will always get used to it. We are programmed to be dissatisfied, always. Even if we have a colony on mars and achieve world peace we will keep improving because we are literally never satisfied.

Yea I agree with this completely. Everything's cheap now. Even regular jobs that I used to be excited about doing seem just like a waste of time.

I was typing out a response but then I read the first post and, oh well

"Doing something meaningful" is pretty meaningless since its different for everyone and is self defined. As an example people would moan that because they're rich if they wanted to do something, like for example renovate a car they could just pay the money for some garage to do it which would give no satisfaction. But theres absolutely nothing stopping you from doing the work yourself and feeling rewarded (being rich just means you could afford tools and fuckups during the process without worries/ruining yourself like a poor person could). Rich or poor you just have to set yourself targets to work towards.

If I get rich I have some plans of what to do. I'll become a land developer and apply my passion for urbanism and architecture into it. I'll also donate statues to my city

I do. In my endless struggle to get rich i lost my shit.

Through great loss and vodka i actually lost my fucking mind.

I finally got my shit together.

My wife is happy.

I'm happy.

We are about to buy a shit house in the country. The wifes recently deceased grandfather lived there. God bless that man. There will never be a more caring or positive roll model on this earth. I intend to carry on his legacy by collecting pretty much anything. No matter how much money i make, riding a 4 wheeler 5 miles down a dirt road to my best friend's house ore tinkering with random shit will be my future until i die.

As long as you see money as a tool to freedom and nothing more i think u will be fine.

Took me a lot of years to understand this. But i may actually be happy for the first time in my life. And aside from being a wagecuck my life is perfect.

Money will solve this.

And after that investing will be a hobby and not weigh on my fucking soul anymore.

Good luck anons!

Fuckin nice user. Im making a poster now

Or i can wear my fucking 30$ walmart shit until i make my $3,000,000 and then just fucking blow 200k a year on stupid shit...

leases* happiness

rent is a poor person word.

youtube.com/watch?v=RX5Iw-XsWu4

he was making millions a day or week though

not possible.
i think i would enjoy it to no end.

>Do you ever fear getting rich will make life emptier?
No. What I fear is poverty.

>Do you ever fear getting rich will make life emptier?
are you fucking retarded?

I'd rather cry from the top of the world though

Fuck no

All of you faggots who agree with this faggot love poverty just as some slaves love their chains. If massuh ever removed your chains, you wouldn't know what to do with your lives. So you love your chains and hold contempt for anyone who tries to remove theirs.

Fair point.

Having a hundred million dollars and choosing not to waste 40k on a watch doesn't make you any less wealthy than someone who does.

Why would you need to constantly show off how rich you are? The layman wouldn't even be able to tell a watch is worth that much. The only people you'd be impressing are people in your exact same socioeconimc strata--the people above you wouldn't give two shits. You'd basically just be a yuppie faggot.

I don't think its luxury purchases that are keeping the majority of poor people poor.

>no skills
>no business acumen to realize their ideas
>no connections

I would think that those 3 things are what's keeping most poor people poor.

a yuppie faggot with a 40k watch on his wrist, I'll take that.

Not when u own 2 houses and take out a loan for a 3rd like i do faggot.

Owning your home outright is the single stupidest fucking thing u can do.

U dont even really own it. Paying anual taxes on shit i already paid taxes on isnt owning. Its actually renting for a fuckton more money than just paying rent.

Not to mention some faggot can sue u and take it.

If u buy houses and every 6 months borrow against them to buy more houses not only do ubget a fuckton more houses faster, but it creates a liability for faggots that think they will take them from u.

Get on my level mutherfucker. Or be a wagecuck until u die.

EXACTLY. That is why when i become a rich multimillionaire i will just put my family in dependable homes and cars and have 50 fucking crown vics instead of 5. Piss on it. I fucking love my life. My jobs not even that bad but who the fuck wants to punch a timeclock when u can curbstomp that mutherfucker and light it the fuck on fire.

Pretty good exercise for everyone that I learned from my boss who has a net worth in the low 8 figures.

"Image your dream day, what does it look like, what time do you wake up, what do you have for breakfast, where do you eat breakfast, who are you with? What do you spend your day doing and who do you spend it with? How do you schedule your time in this dream day where everything is accessible and money is not an issue?"

Find out what your dream day is and work towards that. You'd be surprised at the ability to live your ideal lifestyle even on modest means and a part-time income. This is assuming you aren't driving a Maserati to your private jet to fly to Monaco every day.

>This is assuming you don't drive a Maserati

I lose

>not spending the $42,000 on self sustainable property.

But you are poor and are roleplaying on a childish forum kek

I'm a 19 year old NEET, my life's already as empty as it gets.

Plenty of people live this life style already.

One of the best philosophy i've read that can be related to op's question goes like this "money can't buy happiness, but it can buy away unhappiness" i hope these words give you the answer ur looking for

>Do you ever fear getting rich will make life emptier?

There are two ways to get what you need in life: consume more or desire less.

I also feel this way and this is why I drink.

i don't think scraping for food and security makes anyone happy user. sure life is struggle for something always.
if you are rich you can choose your obstacles in life if you are poor they are chosen for you.
this is a fundamental difference.

What year is this quote from?

A measly $2k suit and a pathetic $40k watch would get you laughed at these days.

/thread

There is nothing else to add

>We are programmed to be dissatisfied, always
Not far from the truth, but your perspective is disturbing. Get your head checked.

Not to sound egocentric, but I wholeheartedly agree with this.

It makes you $40000 richer.....Am I missing something here?

Fuck that yourr so wrong. Rich kings had it fucking dope, i could have peasants wait on me hand and foot, sit in my thrine and just throw orders out, have a jester be my personal comedy act. I assume by having it better obkectivly you mean having an iphone and shit, well fuck id trade my phone any day to be a god damn king.

i wouldn't trade modern health care for medievil witch doctors.

>people in this thread worrying about how their lives will be WHEN they become rich
>are not currently rich
>will most likely NEVER be rich

why even think of such things? get to fucking work. get rich. then think of these things. but who am I kidding? you're all dreamers who will be dreaming of riches till the day you die with nothing.

>why even think of such things?

These are poor, lazy, unskilled losers who are trying to justify their shitty lifes and feel better about themselves.

This thread is basically a loser hugbox.

But can you really enjoy them if you're dead inside?

nah it would just give me more free time to do fun stuff

I'm 28 years old and have ~210k net worth, rising by about 30k/year.

I will never be rich. I will, however, be free. I will have fuck you money.

That's all I want. Enough money that I know for godamned sure I won't be 50 years old and absolutely stuck wherever I am.

1. I'll never have to worry about any problems associated with being rich
2. Who gives a shit about being empty when you're rich as fuck
3. I'm empty already

The real Jordan Belfort is this slimy looking Jew

there is no net happy life. for every high there is a low. its like a love, at the beginning of a relationship everything is awesome, you feel happy, great, every single bit of life is perfect. then you break up and you end up in hell.

Veeky Forums you have made me proud today

Is he Jewish? Belfort is not a Jewish name.

>dan-bilzerian
Because of his lavish lifestyle and heavy drug abuse, he reportedly suffered three heart attacks before the age of 32.

So did Zyzz, but you don't hear him complaining after the first.

>A measly $2k suit and a pathetic $40k watch would get you laughed at these days.

>implying people laugh at Patek Philipe.
lol

No, first of all no one of us will become THAT rich and secondly only idiots fall for the "uhappy because rich meme". Also

not with that attitude.

i never say i "can't"

i say, "how can i?"

If I had Dan Bilzrians wealth Id have destroyed my marriage, contracted multiple sexual diseases, spent 99% of it and commited suicide within 5 years.

yep

I agree that people could do better if they tried and took more risks. I also agree that some of us may be millionairs one day, but I don't think everything is possible. We will never have the lavish lifestyle filled with huge houses, yachts and private jets we so on TV.
Of course I will try to make as much as I can but realistically, it wont happen.

how much you enjoy yourself or how fulfilled you are has nothing to do with money. the entire idea behind making you think wealthy people are braindead is to excuse them from taking any responsibility while boosting your ego.

by the way, if you can comfortably eat and sleep at your convenience, you were always rich.

>you were always rich
can you come with me on my next date and vouch for my financial abundance to these grimy ass souless hoes of today?

reminder

Bilz: trust fund babby
Bieb: self-made, earned his money

Bilz: basic looking escorts only have sex with him if he pays extra using money from the trust fund daddy set up for him
Bieb: hot women want sex with him backstage just because he is Bieber

Bilz: juices up, now has heart problems and will probably die earlier than his wealthy father
Bieb: ottermode, works out, all natural

Bilz: neurotic because he failed to achieve the strength of character of his father from whence all his wealth came
Bieb: actually going his own way, he simply woke up one day and decided to be awesome and superior to everyone else

Bilz: fans are multi-level marketing scheme "distributors", gamblers, walter mitties, people who read self-help books, balding 40 year old men going through a mid-life crisis, people who dream of getting rich with no effort like Bilzerian did
Bieb: fans are giggling popular fashionable 18 year old girls and young women with pert breasts

you must be a very bored and lonely person to do this .

The Bieber phenomenom is just insane, more than half of the girls between 16 and 25 would literaly pay to suck his dick

First post, best post.

Not really. I have always been under the impression that it is mostly true. Although, this guy isn't really giving him enough credit for his ability to market himself which is probably how he sustains his lifestyle. Guy has millions of IG followers, regularly engages in various marketing partnerships with the likes of draftkings, vacation companies, and clothing/merchandise companies. He has also done a good job representing himself in the general media (at least in a way that gets him a lot of attention). So overall, there isn't much to hate about the guy. He had an opportunity and is capitalizing on it. That is all you can really do in this world.

With that said, the dude still has to charter out his jet (not even sure if its his), so don't go around thinking he is god tier wealthy. People like Howard Stern run circles around him

He is Jewish.

If you have no hobbies or anything to enjoy your money with, sure. If you like collecting cars, watches, art, rare/vintage stuff, etc. or enjoy traveling and sightseeing; as long as you invest in life experiences, life will never feel empty.

but who cares?

do what, posting a copypasta pales in comparison to the amount of time Bilzerian fanboys spend shitposting about their /r/theredpill alpha fantasies

he has the right attitude and he is the one we should follow

You don't have to live in luxury just because you are rich. Just life a normal dude's life with the bonus of not having to care about money. Get your dream job, marry a nice wife who doesn't want you for your money and don't tell your children that you are rich until they are in their twenties so they don't become spoiled brats. Best of both worlds.

First post always best

I just want to never worry about money so long as I'm being reasonable. Taking away stress is basically the opposite of an "empty" life.
For me "empty life" would be working 8 hours with 2 hours of commute just to make ends meet. That'd be fucking empty as fuck and depressing, I just don't know how people do that shit, blows my mind.

Lot's of non-Jewish origin names are used as cover ups by Jews. Like Cohen => Cowen, despite Cowen being a legitimate and commonly used Irish surname

fuck no. the more richer i am the more i will travel

This board was intended for legitimate business discussion in an anonymous setting. In theory, this is ideal for millionaires and aspiring millionaires. However, the reality is that it's flooded by the NEET /r9k/ user who is willing to do any scam necessary to make millions of dollars overnight by selling his integrity. These people are mixed with people who are just interested in stocks. With a couple of people genuinely interested in business and some millionaires who seldom contribute for reasons you can see.

I always see these threads whenever I stop by. They're so depressing. If you're unhappy now, you will be unhappy when you're rich. Here's an example for you. Let's say you want an . You work hard and save up your money for . You want the latest and greatest version of . You finally get it. You accomplish your goal. Now you have said , but you get bored of it soon enough. Then you'll be able to next , but this one is better because it has !

Once it's the norm in your life, you will get used to it. When you get used to it, you'll go to something else. The void will never be filled. You have to trust me on this. I swear this on everything. May I get cancer if I'm wrong. That's how sure I am. For one, I went through it myself. Two, everyone goes through it and you won't be any different than millions of people before you. Three, you already went through it. Think about a situation like this in your life. Scale it up and it's the same.

It's all mental health. Something no one seems to respect. It's fine to like lavish things, I'm not saying you should live in a hut, but put things in perspective. It's empty happiness and you shouldn't live for materialistic things. You should care about your health, relationships, and important things like that. Everything else is secondary.
