I've thought for a long time how odd it is how fascinated people are of Grand Nationals. There's nothing particularly unique about their design. This applies to many other cars too. I have a theory that someone's perception of how good something looks is influenced by others. The more people who like it, the stronger the influence gets. Think of it as the "they can't all be wrong" mentality. Do you really like something because you came to like it on your own, or do you like it because other people like it as well? Is it a combination of both? Is your perception of subjectivity really belonging to you?

My mom had a 1987 Ford T-Bird when I was a kid up until I was 12 that looks like this. I loved going for drives in it, it was comfy to sit in and had get up and go. Probably my favorite 80's car

You can get them out in the states, I've seen a handful here in solcal but they do rust so no clue about any wet states. Usually their their dirt cheap because their broken down, or have a shitty owner.
And all federal rover sd1 have ugly headlights because of the the regulations here in the 80s
