Rear wheel drive track/daily car

Veeky Forumstists.. I require your help. In the market for a fun daily driver/track car in the range of 10 to 15k USD. Would like it to be rear wheel drive and above 200hp.

Options I've considered are Mustangs/Camaro/Corvette C5 maybe.
Pic related, is Mustang.

I like the 2011-2014 Mustang GT and the 2010-2013 Camaro SS.

I don't like the Corvette C5; it's too archaic.

2007+ 350Z, E46 M3, or S2000. Only a 2010 Mustang GT with the 310hp 4.6 but definitely not a 5.0.

Could also do a high mileage Evo/STi.

Foxbody and the rest on mods

>muscleshit
>track

back to weeb

Not even. I don't have a problem with Corvettes for example. But muscleshit is a lost cause in driving dynamics.

>Mustang is just as fast as an M3 of the same age
>"can't turn"

this 2bh

>c5

lol

in practice a base c5 6spd would BTFO anything in this thread "round the track"

>has never driven a muscle car on a track

kek

>wet lap versus dry lap

sound too good to be true, is too good to be true

see

>300+ hp
>350 ft-lb torque
>3450lb
>5 sec 0-60
>0.91 g skid on good tire
>less than $10k all day

Damn I forgot to mention I need something with decent mileage, like 60/70k miles.

Maintenance history is a bigger factor than mileage.

Strongly considering 2011-14 GT mustang

I would but it doesn't feature any device to change its trajectory.

>10 to 15k
S197 mustang pre-facelift and spend the rest on mawdz.

literally lolcantturn

Then subtract the E46 M3/WRX STI/Evo.

Leaving you really the S2000, 07+ 350Z, and 2010 GT. Do you live in a salt state? Don't get the S2000, it WILL rust. Otherwise I'd get the Z. The Z and S2K will take the least effort to prep for track use. The GT is only in the running for having actual back seats and a big trunk, otherwise it's out handled by the Japanese cars and only marginally faster than the S2K.

It's pretty nice. I haven't driven the post-facelift S197, but my pre-facelift 2005 feels very heavy. It feels heavier than my Volt, despite the Volt weighing more.

>wet lap vs dry

2011-2014 GT or V6 Perfomance package Manual Mustang.
Can't go wrong with any of those.

>A v6 Mustang is faster than a Corvette.

>Faster than a Track oriented Miata.

>FASTER THAN A CORVETTE

See

>Manual Mustang
>Getrag

There's plenty to go wrong, mate.

It feels like you are breaking something everytime you shift when the trans is cold but otherwise, its pretty durable.

Daily driver and track car should be mutually exclusive. You're an idiot if you want to track your daily, and also a car suitable to daily would be a shit track car anyway,
Buy a $2k Corolla, spend the rest on a dedicated track car.

Ohhh, you're taking out a loan which is why you want to go full retard and track your DD.

330, 330 zhp. m3's in that range won't be the cleanest.

this to be honest
