$100,000 Pajeetmobile

Why do people buy Land Rovers?

Because I can afford one.

>Why do people buy Land Rovers?

Retardation or enough money to burn without caring that it's going to fall apart within 4 years.

This Discovery is still kind of cool though. Still BOF and capable of offroading.

Why not buy a Merc G instead?

football player's wives usually have shit taste

I'm proud that people of my ethnicity owns 2 prestigious companies from the UK. But as far as I know Tata never involved in the R&D of any LR except they give help financially and in return LR gives tech ideas to Tata so he could build better cars which seems totally fair.

If they actually did, then they would probably be even shitter, because your country is worse than china at making stuff, and has no automotive skill in the country aside from a few guys at tata, surrounded by idiots.

LITERAL shitmobile

It's safe to say that Tata helped Jaguar and LR to come up in sales and reliability by a lot.

India might be shitty and people may shit on streets but you should know that India is not full developed like many European or American countries but also many American as well as European tech companies contain a lot of work force that are of Indian ethnicity.

As an Indian brought up in the US, I pretty much know that Tata has brought a lot of improvements to the country in a lot of areas. Yet, people regularly from the US and Europe offer help to India in a lot of ways.

Also I don't think China is really that bad. China do make many stuff that are really awesome. India is not that bad too.

k thanks

>unionicaly defending tata
user....
Also tata means dady in my language which make it even a bigger joke than it is.

>tech companies contain a lot of workforce that are of Indian ethnicity

Faggot the only reason they hire shitskins is because they'll accept shitty wages. It's not their only shitty attribute though

Remember to poo in loo pajeet

India a shit, and the only reason jag.landrover has been getting better is because of distance from ford

>cheaper (g wagons start at 100k+)

>RRs just as capable off road
>RR significantly more comfortable on road, less wind noise, much better handling and comparable straight line performance if not better

The real question is why buy a g wagon when a RR is superior in every objective metric?

I was in the market for a luxury SUV a few months ago and ended up going with a Range Rover. To me it seems like the MB charges a massive price premium for absolutely no reason.

India has a shitton of automotive suppliers. I work for a supplier and we get quite a few components sourced from india. They have lots of forges and machineshops and such. Quality is questionable but improving, like much of Asia.

At least they're better to deal with than the Chinese. I still prefer to source locally though. Fuck overseas supply chains.

>RRs just as capable off road

except you have to wash and service it any time you get into mud, otherwise goodbye pneumatics

>shitton

Something tells me you're not speaking metaphorically

as capable as the RR is, every time I see a demo of it keeping up with "cheap" off roaders, it ruins the bodywork far more than it should

>aluminum unibody

>vs an established chassis with generations of improvements

G doesn't break down every 10,000 miles.

Because depreciation for poor people who tries to look rich.

>buy Ford Explorer
>duct tape $50,000 to the grill

Congratulations, it's a Land Rover

>cheaper (g wagons start at 100k+)

Who cares about price when you are buying a vehicle in that segment?

>styling preferences, RRs look modern. G wagons don't

Are you buying the car for your wife or yourself?

>status symbol

Both brands are high regarded

>RRs just as capable off road

Maybe if you are a retard or british

>RR significantly more comfortable on road, less wind noise, much better handling and comparable straight line performance if not better

We are talking about off-road machines you fucking dipshit, They are supposed to be boxy and have bad aerodynamics.

They are not supposed to be a sports car or comfy sedan.

The Mercedes Benz is far more capable and reliable than the shitrover

Moot point on the new model of RR as they have been rebuilt from the ground up. We won't know about how reliable they are for another few years.

The Range is just as good off road for literally any conceivable conditions.

>off-road machines

How many people do you think off road their g wagons and range rovers? You obviously have no experience in the luxury market. I'll give you a hint: less than 10% of these types of cars are taken off road, and almost always by third or fourth owners. Like it or not, both the RR and the G wagon are now boulevard cruisers marketed towards the rich and powerful, and those types of people typically don't go off roading in their $100k+ vehicles. When they're driven on the pavement for 99% of their life, driving dynamics DO matter just as much if not more than their off road capability. Range Rover is every bit as capable as a G wagon for less money. You're the one talking out of your ass here as you have said absolutely nothing of substance and seriously doubt you have driven or even been in either of these vehicles.

Pic related, my car keys. Eagerly awaiting your response that will surely say absolutely nothing while you blister on about cars that you have no experience with or any idea about.

>Moot
Who?

You do know the reason you get parts from there right? Cheaper labour and everything, but most big companies (especially the Americans, the Germans are starting to do it a lot now as well) go to other countries for so many things because it's easier. Shitty cars below 30k they usually get the entire design, manufacture, assemlby etc done in the cheapest offshore (sometimes domestic) way possible, the only time they actually put the company's best design, in house parts, and assembly in an expensive place like Germany or England, is for their specialised and flagship cars. E.g. ford puts 90% of it's best everything into the GT, Mustang, trucks and big suv's, lincoln and high trim tauruses. Everything else is outsourced and done mostly by different people working under the same badge and management.

>mfw i saw silverado in poorland, even few times

Same reason people buy Jaguars? They're good cars.
Someone's jelly their 3rd world country doesn't sell luxury cars to white people.

>Retardation or enough money to burn without caring that it's going to fall apart within 4 years.
Like BMWs and Audis aren't the same. Yes, rich people don't tend to keep their daily drivers for that long

The word daddy is a joke to you? I'm really sorry user.

Because I'm rich fuck off I want to travel in style, comfort and tackle the elements a little, lrs and rrs are actually potent, can't I buy a range rover because some nouveau riche chink or arab has it, as if the G wagen is any different

This one post proves how racist the people on Veeky Forums are. Why? Look at the trips this guy got. Only one person other than me mentioned it.

There are two people on my road who own Range Rovers
Both of them are below 5'10"

Hope my thoughts can make you think

that's a sand nigger mobile

your post really made me think

I havnt experienced any of this. I worked for a German OEM and supplier and an American supplier, and all design is done in Germany or the USA. Cost is the only driver to go overseas, but It's a massive pain in the ass to deal with Asia. People used to offshore in a heartbeat, but lessons learned show that it's not as good a deal as it first appears. Rusty parts, late shipments, poor communication, etc. We avoid it when possible. I always try to get domestic sources.
