Imagine

Imagine
>Ford and Honda work together on new S2000
The original S2000 was the world-record holder for monst Horses per engine liter
Imagine a 4-cylinder with VTEC.... AND Ecoboost

Gay.

Would rather just have them make the S2K again without deviation from how it was first designed.

Is Ecoboost the new VTEC?

Close. It's an actual turbo, not "like a turbo".

You mean like what they did with the NSX?

It would go BOOM really quick.

>Ford
Not really my thing, also I like the s2k's interior

facts about the f20c:
-11.0:1 compression for us market, 240hp
-11.7:1 compression for jdm engines, 250hp
-piston speed was aproximatly 25 m/s, which was the highest until the b7 Audi rs4 beat it in 2006.
- held the record for the highest specific output for any n/a engine until Ferrari beat it with the 458
- has carbon Fiber-Reinforced Metal cylinder liners. Carbon strands are fused with molten aluminum proving an extremely strong cylinder liner.
-uses molybdenum disulfide-coated piston skirts for reduced friction
-crankshaft, pistons, piston rods are all fully forged aluminum

the engines are able to handle 700hp on stock internals, albeit probably not for long, but 350hp is not unheard of for some people's daily drivers.

stock and maintained properly these engines often see excess of 200,000miles and easily live up to the Honda reliability reputation.

EcoBoost just kicked in yo

Engineering Explained, is that you??

Reading this made me hard

those liners lead to oil consumption issues later in life

Goddamn they need to do another S2000 with simply fucking raising the bar left and right.

Honda is the only company I have highest faith in when it comes to engines.
Hope its another car that aims to destroy his enemies with sheer power.
Also hope they can keep the styling incredible again.
The S2000 looks so fucking great even to this day. Its unique and recognisable

>-uses molybdenum disulfide-coated piston skirts for reduced friction
Just like the Honda Jazz :D

Oh Honda, you so clever.

>Imagine Ford and Honda work together
No.

Imagine
>Ford and Mazda work together
>Quad Rotor Mustang
>EgoBoobs Miata
>MazdaSpeed/ST Everything

>muh specific output
Lower than an na rotary from the 80s

Can't tell if troll...

like two-strokes, they're not really comparable,

> consumes 2.6L of air per rotation of main shaft
> it's a 1.3L

imagine ecoboost kicking in yo then vtec kicking in yo

Consumers are so fucking stupid.

That dude just got an s2000 too. I ended up on his channel for first time the other day. Pretty decent content tbqhfamilee.

We all miss when Mazda could fuck off in the corner slapping rotors in things and have it bankrolled by Ford, you don't have to pour salt in the wound.

Petrol engines that redline at 9k RPM in general don't tend to last very long before eating oil, fancy cylinder liners or not.

Still half as less as most modern german cars though while being up to 1 million miles reliable
