so the fuel switch to ON still made the bike idle low and stall. the choke control still was no help and again, the idle sputtered at 1500RPMS and stalled.

I put it to PRI and it idled fine and the bike drove me around the area.

so why can i not keep it idling like normal when the switch is set to ON?

Also learn to use a trip correctly. You have to use a password if you want to do it properly. Else you just end up looking like a retard.

I nearly lowsided yesterday (I think).
Riding on a new SV650A, I was quite fast into a tight bend, so I did what twist of the wrist told me:
Don't get off the throttle, look into the corner and lean.

I did that, but before my pegs even touched the ground, the rear tire slipped up.

Is that because I ride on a rear 160 or did I maybe just slip on something on the road?

Always hear people bragging about "filing their pegs" but that doesn't even seem feasible.
I still somehow managed to save it though.

Vacuum hose membrane not working properly. Either change the hose or just ride on pri.

Right, but I was surprised the rear tire would give before the pegs even touched the ground.

For one reason or another you asked for more grip than your tire provided. Maybe you went in too fast, maybe you went smooth on the deceleration, maybe your tires suck, maybe you hit gravel or oil. Check your tread and slow down.

Sometimes its the bike, could have also been something you missed on the road when you looked through the curve

If the road wasn't slippery this will happen if there is a variation in load during the turn or your suspension is not set properly for your weight. Poor throttle control and/or a too tight grip on handlebar will lead to this.

No, but you should turn it to ("Off" or "On" if you park it since the fuel will continue to flow even if the engine is off and it may floods your carbs.

Yeah that'll help a bit or maybe even get completly rid of it, don't know how good the suspension of the SV650 is.. Some bikes are simply not meant for hard cornering (hence why people do suspension swaps)
