They are definitely a good learners bike, but you will likely want to upgrade after a year.
The Ninja 500 is another good option that you could ride for a good long while without getting bored, and they are pretty cheap used.

First off, stop thinking there is a set rule for speed and gears. Do what feels right while riding. 30 in second is gonna be fine though. You'll get a feel for it really fast.

Well just shift when you the engine gets a little loud.

Just get any used bike for a decent price, make sure that it runs and is ready to ride. A roached out bike that needs work blows dick, youll spend more time fixing it than riding.

also dont fuckin look at your tachometer while you ride, dont worry about that shit. just shift when it feels right. looking down at your tach would be like looking down at your phone in a car or something.
