i have dreams about doing a fangame remaking the entirety of Fallout 4's story and make it good. It will be linear as hell but if you do it right, then no one will fucking care. And of course there will be tons of dialogue options and different ways to solve quests.
Also there will be traits, skills, prostitutes, and tribals.
It will be a hub world but with a couple of very long and detailed sidequests.
Cities and important locations will have fixed locations but enemy AI will adapt.
You travel from location to location through the world map and random encounters happen the same way in the original games.

I like the idea of making The Sole Survivor the antagonist of the game. In this universe his wife and child are dead, but in return he conquered all of the Commonwealth with his loyal followers and made it a safe place to live. But somewhere along the way he became disillusioned with being a leader and being forced to do everything because everyone else was so incompetent. He abandoned his role and set out to discover long lost secrets that might be a final solution to humanity's salvation.

The Legion doesn't seem like the kind of place you'd find trauma therapy specialists - and rape isn't something people "get over," if you'll take my anecdotal word from doing social work. It frequently results in long-haul, complicated trauma. In stable Legion territory there's probably systems of concubinage/marriage similar to Rome, but women on the frontier are, well, fucked.
I always figured part of the appeal of Legion for hardcore supporters was you didn't really care what happened to women in the first place.

This one thing I dont quite understand. Wouldnt controlled use of chems like psycho and jet be incredibly useful for them in combat? Addiction cures can be developed (or even become mandatory) or they could even see it as an additional layer of their "survival of fittest" mentality.
