ITT: We post our quirky shift patterns and try to guess the car.

I'll go first:

It's in the filename, but I don't care, I think it's funny how badly the previous owner fucked up

...

Guess. Car is japanese from 1985.

I always loved this one

...

Clearly a 1998 Saturn SL2

Mine was a disaster in 1st and 2nd as well.

AE86? That shift pattern reminds me so much of mine, especially fucking 2nd gear.

...

move the R upper left and that is exactly my GF's MK4 Jetta

s60r bro

I've only posted it once before though, when I created it

Nope.

Super close. AW11.

...

Just realized I put 2 on 3rd, oops.

Here is my last car's.

I dislike my car.

...

Golf?

...

toyota?

Mustang with a Pro 5.0

yup

Getrag MT82 in a Mustang? This is my exact shift pattern in a 2014 GT. If I try to drop to 2nd at near redline rpm half the time it will lock me out and screech if I try to force it into gear.

04 jeeps

I gave an extra hint with the speeds.

...

9-5?

s-10?

Not anymore but it was kinda fun for the time.

...

volkswagen type 1, 2 or 3

the fuck?

...

...

2006 miata

...

...

...

Mercedes?

Lada?

No one will ever figure this one out.

Porsche 911

Passat?

...

Close but wrong manufacturer
Nope

Saved this from the last thread

BMW 325i

Vw beetle?

Mistubishi, it's gotta be

Mine

So a Jimmy/Sonoma then?

Almost the same with my miata.

That's the same way my s-10 is

...

I head 2nd gen was an abortion

Bmw?

1982 Camaro. So, about the same technology wise.

oldie but goodie

probably needs explaination

first we have the reverse drive gearbox.
its clutchless so you can go from full throttle ahead into reverse with no consequences.
simply push forward or pull backwards, neutral inbetween.

then the shifter.
two positions high and low.
low is intervals a and b
high is intervals c and d
physical clutch pedal is required to change between these two

interval a is 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th gear
interval b is 5th 6th 7th and 8th gear
and so on up to 16th gear

between interval a and b or interval c and d the electronic clutch is acceptable

but inside of an interval (example interval a) you can change between 1st and 4th with niether the electronic or physical clutch required

Nope
Similar cars so eh

It's a Ford Ranger

Leme guess 4x4. I too sometimes start in second gear when on a flat surface.

Close, Jetta.
Nope.

hint: 90s.

I have yet to find a reliable way to shift into 2nd.

Old diesel?

Ford ranger.

Eh, not really true 4x4 but AWD.

I swapped my heads and cam to get a higher redline RPM, and then was told to do this technique.

ive got a 280z and it feels the same

ford pickup
honda accord
cavalier z24
adub mr2
plz be v70r
1 ton pickup
bug
volvo 200

What the fuck, please tell me what monstrosity this is

My transmission was acting funny so I disassembled it to try to clean it, and I guess I put it back together wrong

...

You drive a leaf?

prius. faggot.

I'd replace my shift bushings if I didn't have to take the fucking driveshaft off

yes,

i'm leasing and saving thousands of dollars a year in transportation expenses.

...

Mustang

wat

f10 M3?

Ayy the throw for reverse gear wall just got feet longer

lmao my 996 is exactly like that.

Are you that same fucking guy on reddit who kept circlejerking about his leaf?

...

with the exception of 6 also being R it looks like my z33

GM / Ford WC T5?

3rd always crunches in my WC T5 when it's cold.

user how

Corvette?

Jeep?

Very fast Takimi at incredibly hihg speeds

Surprisingly, this motherfucker feels like it's fucking gated. It's literally the best shitbox gearbox ever. Not even joking. I have to almost consciously move the stick left and right between 2-3 and 4-5. I've had it hang before when I shifted like a faggot.

Every gear is fine, besides...

Is that a car?

...

...

It's a kraut thing.

...

Nope but close

4th is the only one that's really a cunt. It's basically the appendix of my car's manual

How does this even work?

Yeah rev matching is super important upshifting from 1st to 2nd in a mustang
